I'm sensing a 400k opening for Persona 5, and expecting decent, and i say decent in terms of JRPG standards, legs due to the release of the PS4 slim, with a couple weeks of dryness in terms of hot titles that japan gives a fuck about, and a holiday period for the game to continue selling

Like you mentioned the release of PS4 slim and the dry period of games after P5 significantly raise the selling potential of P5. Now if Sony would go all out and start things off with P5 PS4 slim bundle right out of the gate, both P5 and PS4 numbers would crush every expectation.

Yes, if done right with the proper push, the game could sell 650k-800k, but that's under perfect circumstances such as a slim bundle, extremely good reviews and word of mouth (which it will probably get), and a neo push could give it a second wind if that were to release this year

What? I mean P4 did "only" under 200k first week, if P5 PS4 version ratios not that bad then it will definitely do way better than it,it really made someone happy including me lol……

I was sure this was about P4 ratios but wanted to be sure since I did not want to make any assumptions. Personally, I think it's been obvious for a long time P5 will crush the sales of P4 8 years ago.

Wow... first, Tales of Berseria had more pre-orders than FFXV.

And now, Persona 5 is surpassing it as well.

The fact is.... both games aren't doing that much better than their predecessors but it's FFXV that's doing way lower than the series' standard.
