I think they should have made the game PS4/PS3/Vita.
Dragon Quest Heroes 2 proved how good this combination can work.

Ya for sure, Square cushioned that decline (was it a decline in the end?) really well with the Vita edition, honestly otherwise it would have been potientially, really bad.

Even if it falls behind, the ratio will be better for sure. P4 had more than 350pt and opened with 193k. No way, Persona 5 is going to have this kind of ratio. PS2 (like PSP) had very bad ratios on Comg.

I don't really have expectation in P5, never played a single game of the franchise. Probably shouldn't have said "as popular" but the gap of sales between the two is certainly less than before due to ff bombing and persona getting more popular

That's really good news.
I've really high hopes we'll see a much better opening this time. 193k to beat, and no digital back then.. Bring it on!!

Persona 5 still #2 on amazon behind BEASTERIA. Looks like it's getting it's big boost nice and early!

I wonder when SE will finally start the final marketing phase now. I mean the news of the delay gave the game more traction on Amazon than anything else they did.
No matter what FF15 is going to under perform in Japan compared to FF13 and even lowered expectations of a few months ago.
But the positives are:
1. Digital sales
2. Likely higher comg ratio
3. SE big marketing push still to come.
Now that last point may not happen but considering SE would have known for a while they were delaying it, it makes sense they'd also delay their marketing.
So if or when this kicks in the title might finally start to do well on comg.
