I can't see it giving a big boost.  Sony is looking to clear stock for a few weeks from now so I'd imagine we won't see that boost until the new model launches in September.

Call me crazy but if the FFXV is true, it's good news for PS4. This means that FFXV will surely get a PS4SILM/NEO bundle (NEO is rumored to launch around that time). Plus, 29 November is Tuesday meaning that FFXV would launch Dec 2 in Japan. Maybe the delay also explains the absence of FFXV marketing not only in Japan but also worldwide.

Yeah. It slowly all makes sense if this ends up being true. Btw. one of the sources that gave Gematsu the Sep. 30th date also confirmed this rumor. Looks more and more likely - we should get a announcement next week if it is true.

Yeah, it's probably true. This means that the 4chan leak was true (the leaker said that the games has many problems so it's unlikely it will be released September 30th). Everything will clear up next week.

Don`t wanna go too much offtopice, but did you meant the "game doesn´t even run 2 hours" rumor? Or another one? Because hell there are many rumors about this game.

Than the good news (for Square Enix) is that FFXV wouldn't be competing with Persona 5 anymore.
The bad news: It'd be competing with Pokemon Sun/Moon instead.

In Japan i don't think really matter.

In the west, FF XV in November is a suicide. It has to compete with Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Infinite Warfare, Watch Dogs 2 and the others big wester release.

September is a better choise.

Ya, I am bit saddened, now since I will have to choose Mafia and Watch Dogs over Final Fantasy XV (Hell I think World of Final Fantasy is also around that time, and I am getting that as well, ahhh too many games in that short weeks, and I have wedding), since I am a bit more hyped over those sandbox games. I was looking forward to my September being only that one game.
