VII Remake is also being made by Nomura so it's likely going to fail.

Sadly his name being attached to it, gives me little to no hope that it will be great. I really was not the biggest fan of the expanded Final Fantasy 7 stuff, as a lot of it felt just bad including the movie and I know he will alter Final Fantasy 7 to include stuff like that. 

Some ppl here are well known flamer in gfaqs forum so yea.. it's not unexpected.

Would be amazing, but a remake for ff vi would mean awesome work to do, there were 2 big worlds, but maybe in the future the effort for making a game will be easier

You are right, it would be amazing and almost impossible to pull off. Maybe if we are lucky cost of making games will go down. 

Since I'm not allowed to quote CGI's post, let me just say: failing is a part of the Japanese industry these days. It's no small secret things aren't rosy for dedicated consoles/handhelds over there and this year in particular has told a pretty harrowing tale with nearly every established IP seeing small or sometimes significant declines.

Besides, the very nature of VGC (and this thread in particular) brings out sales-based discussion, both positive and negative. This is the longest ongoing Japanese sales-discussion thread and it's nice to share everyone's thoughts all in one place (rather than it being in the Media Create threads every week).

I'm hoping a blanket ban of discussing games under-performing isn't what's being suggested here (for starters, Tbone and I would never talk to each other if it wasn't for discussing whether a game was failing or not) but rather a stop to drive-by shitposting which is something else entirely.

Discussing games under-performing is certainly all right if there are no identifiable ulterior motives.

What I think needs to stop is the passive-agressive posting style of some users. It only baits other users to do the same but on the other side and you end up with posts riddled with cynical comments and smiley faces lol

Seeing ffvi shining in new light would be wonderful, maybe on ps4 neo;)
