Hope that this won't happen. 
Ys 8 looks amazing. If it flops in Japan, chances are high that it won't get a release in the west.
I never played a Ys game but I really want to get in this series soon. Did you play Memories of Celceta? Can you recommend it? ^^

I'd say there's almost 100% chance it'll come west, because there's a PS4 version and XSEED love Ys.  Seems to be doing badly in Japan though.

Memories of Celceta is fine yes, I'd recommend Oath in Felghana (PSP) over it though.

I wonder how idolmaster will do on ps4. I believe this is the first time it will release on ps4?

I'm playing it right now, it's a great game. The story is intriguing, and the combat system is really intense. I think you should get it now that it's on sales. A good old action JRPG that won't disappoint no matter what.
