Sequels to musou spin-offs of established IPs have as far as I know always had a big decline from the first to the second entry. One Piece Pirate Warriors is another example.

So Dark Souls III did pretty much exactly the same as Dark Souls II first week. We really can't neglate digital sales when we compare with last gen. It has changed very quickly.

I mean, that's still only 10-20%, but it's at least consistently higher than the previous expectation of <10% on older hardware. A consolation prize when comparing to previous generations at least.
