As for Point 1, The first 6 chapters (and prologue?) are the same with ch 6 being the side you choose. Its in different articles with released info.

As for point 1. The games are said to be 1/5th the same (or was it 1/6th?). This literally means an estimate of 1/6th of either 5,6,7 chapters! Because it wasnt clear 1/6th of Chapters 1-5, Ch 1-6, or if they're including the prologue.

So worst case scenario "5 chapters" it be 25 chapters and a Prologue (26chapters+). White version has like Awakening Side chapters, while Black version does not.

 

 

As for Point 2, its obviously going to not be mirrored based on How difficult Black version is as well as its conditions, story has a Civil war part to it, etc

 

Well, that is less concerning, though I dunno how I feel about conceding to paying a lot for the whole package... I can't say no to all that FE goodnes...

It's on its way to becoming one of the highest scoring Wii U games on here (outside of Mario Kart and Smash, obviously), and I think for a new IP, that's fantastic.

Punny!  I agree it should definitely appeal to a wide audience.  I believe they said that a FE on Wii U would have to sell 750k to be profitable.  That would obviously be difficult with the tiny Wii U userbase.  They will most definitely make FE for their next console though.  

Yeah they will probably profit from the first week of If's Japan sales, so everything after that will be more money in their pocket.  I hope it can sell close to 2 million, but there might not be enough of a lifecycle left for 3ds to make that happen. 

I'm curious about the third path as well.  Maybe you will be playing as the other side of the civil war in Nohr or something? Or maybe mercinaries that side with Hoshido?



Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).

Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

Yeah 700k sales for it to be profitble. And that was 2-3 years ago when it was said so maybe cheaper if they start developement in the next year or 2.

As for Sales, its going to be weird if the West gets the entire package as 1 game because then we'll have to separate sales technically? (Similar to West's PDZ:Mario Edition vs Japan's PDZ / Mario Edition)

As for third story, the only thing we know is this...

It definitely wil be interesting to see how they track sales.  I can't believe they have 3 stories in one game!  I'm just speculating that it won't be as fleshed out as Nohr and Hoshido, but I will be playing it as it is Fire Emblem!  Intelligent Systems seems like they accomplish an awful lot for the amount of employees they have (130).  And that price is not bad at all.  That's like buying 2 or so of the DLC packs in Awakening, which are just characters reused from other FE games.

Even if the "Third path" is 10-12 chapters (i doubt it) its really good.

Want to hear something hilarious and ironic about FE:if?

I bet nobody would be complaining (all the rants/crys about splitting the game up), in fact the opposite if White Version was the only game coming out in 2015 in japan, 2016 West with the main character going to Side with Hoshido........ and Black version was an entire new game coming out in 2017 japan, 2018 West with an alternate timeline in which main character stays on Nohr's side and was a traditional FE game!

Its the fact both games coming out same time and people think they're getting ripped off/IS is greedy/etc thats the problem right now. Hopefully when it comes out in japan, we'll see how big each game truly is.

I wouldn't mind buying each game for $40 each or 1 version for $40 and the other downloadable for $15/$20 :)
