May I ask where do you live, Outlaw?

I'm from Southern Europe, and here the situation is exactly the opposite. No adult plays Pokemon, while it's popular with kids, instead, along with the DS/3DS platform itslelf.

At the same time, it's adults who are pulled toward smartphones, instead of under 20.

I live in the US. The majority of people buying Pokemon are those who played it when they were children when it was introduced. This is mostly high school/college age students. Everyone in the normal target age group wants or has a smartphone or tablet instead of a handheld. While it's just anecdotes, I haven't seen anyone played Pokemon younger than 15 in the past 5 years. Those kids are playing Minecraft, Doodle Jump, or Angry birds instead.
