Edit: Also want to note how poorly Mega Man has sold. He's a icon because he's been around for so long, but no game has sold half of what we're comparing.

Nintendo never paid for Snake, and they needed Brawl to be a sucess as well

You are exaggerating the whole issue so your argument feels better. Nobody knows who Korra is, so that part is moot, but did you really had to include Batman and Shrek?

That cat is a video game character, and it's becoming a massive franchise because of it success on a Nintendo device. Besides, it's not like all characters of the SSB rooster are international icons.

Yeah the other characters not icons are part of Nintendo,or their history. It doesn't make sense to add in the cat when other characters are needed to be in way before it.

Like i previously said, smash isnt an advertisement of games/etc... Its Nintendo history, collaboration, cross over game. Third party are welcome but they need to be somewat a part of that, everybody fits the bill with the exception of Snake which Kojima begged for to be put in since Melee!

If it hasnt it should be soon. 3DS numbers are currently 16.88mil (MC). I think GBA had what? 16.5mil-17mil? Im trying to find it now...
