Very few PS4 owners at COMG!. Someone should do a PS4 COMG! thing like Kresniks.

We're we having a discussion just the other day about how it was weird that PS4 Advanced Warfare wasn't here yet, and someone was saying it wasn't weird?

I thought it was. The game will sell well on PS4.

Anyway, Phantasy Star you massive disappointment. The next 12 months for Vita are going to be bleak, aside from little blips like Sword Art Online here and Kantai Collection there (assuming it ever releases).

Yeah I would say 2015 is its last year in the west (if you wouldnt already call it dead end of this year) and in Japan 2015 will be ok but 2016 will definitely slow down and be the end of it =(

I get their was a massive decline in the market from gen 7 to 8 but Sony never tried post launch day. They let Nintendo release earlier, they let Nintendo have the cheaper console, lack of solid 1st party support, didnt attempt to get 3rd parties on board like PSP with GTA, MonHun, FF, KH etc.

Now I just hope Sony push PS4 hard in Japan so it can surpass PS3 and hopefully Wii too. And next gen I hope Nintendo dont let the Otaku crowd PSP had built and the games they played go to mobile only in the portable space.

I don't think Sony's efforts have been all bad.  The first year in the west was well-supported, in my opinion, and they clearly had longer-term plans too (Killzone & Tearaway).  It's just, I think they were expecting their Uncharted/CoD/Assassin's Creed push to do more and get third parties on board, and when it didn't, they just gave up when they really should've tried a bit harder.

In Japan it's a different story.  I feel like they've tried their best to begin with - Gravity Rush with a big push in the first year; Soul Sacrifice with a big push in the second year; Freedom Wars with a big push in the third year, and plenty of advertising third-party games (Toukiden; FFX etc.) during that time.  It's just their efforts with third parties that has been bad.  They've been amazing and getting small-to-mid size devs on board and terrible getting anything bigger.  They should really have started subsidising some bigger titles to get them on board with Vita, if they had wanted it to have a longer future than it's had.

YK? Fatigue? Or is just a low profile game with a big name?

Sinobi said that launching a fighting game (a la smash) when Smash Bros being so popular is not a good idea. Also the past years we have already seen a decline in One Piece games. Some games didn't have good quality (I blame the PSP game and ported later to 3DS).

Thanks for the info.

Only criticism you can have of SCEJ is the lack of major IP on the console with a Japanese audience. Phantasy Star and Tales remakes are the most well known Japanese IPs on the platform. Would have been great to have a DMC, MGS, or FF (Type 0 HD).

The fact that Sony did nothing about it not coming to Vita was kind of sad. Hard to blame a dev for ignoring Vita in 2015 though, and no Im not just saying that because its SQEX.

Watch AW on PS4 outsell Bayonetta 2.

This shouldn't be a surprise. COD is more popular than Bayonetta.
