Sinobi said that launching a fighting game (a la smash) when Smash Bros being so popular is not a good idea. Also the past years we have already seen a decline in One Piece games. Some games didn't have good quality (I blame the PSP game and ported later to 3DS).

Will be interesting to see how long YW lasts. People declaring the downfall of Pokemon are getting just a little bit ahead of themselves; YW isn't even a year old and there have been many, many flash-in-the-pan short lived crazes in pop culture and media.

Also, I don't think YW will ever get the western penetration that Pokemon did. For one, this isn't the 90s/early 2000s when the anime craze was at its height. And secondly, the aesthetics are *very* Japanese and I doubt they will resonate as universally.

I think it'll stay relevant for a long time in Japan, i dont get downfall of pokemon talk neither (not talking here at this thread btw anyone aiming to gun me down! You know who you are XD), especially when it comes to WW as if YW will dominate, though it could pull a tomodachi life i guess (an unexpected Success).

That said, YW is this generations MH in Japan. Its doing massively well. Its not Pokemon is on a downshift, its just YW making everything look bad when in reality its not :0

Funny Fact is despite ORAS being a remake, there is a huge chance ORAS > RS FW sales! (Though we all know it wont come close lifetime).

I have a feeling many will think ORAS did bad when it sells around 2.5mil lifetime. Probably even say YW caused it :) (im hoping 3mil lifetime)

I was starting to wonder when Cod AW PS4 would show up. It seems like the PS3 version will destroy it in sales. YW is beasting as always. Pokemon is doing good enough. Pretty meh day though.

Europe seems to like ORAS>XY. Pre orders were higher there overall a month ago!

In Australia EB Games is having a midnight launch at most major stores for ORAS... not even XY had a midnight launch.
However New 3DS launches the same day though.
