Well, at least Phantasy Star Nova is finally getting some points. Shame it won't be the game Vita needs right now. That Tri-Ace curse!

Chaos Rings seems... alright, too. Well, at least for some points of iOS games at least (better than Chain Chronicle!) Makes me wonder how Agito+ will do if it releases at retail.

Maybe phantasy star nova is not doing so well because there's a free version PO2. Even if they are different, people might think they're samey and not bother with it.

Hopefully Chaos ring means more Square enix support, as long as it's not mobile support :P

Toukiden hurted SS sales in japan for instance.

Do you fancy explaining this one to me?  I can't quite get my head around it.

It seems like you're lashing out at Vita games because a WiiU game is performing poorly at the moment and people are commenting on it which you don't like, unless there's some link between Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden sales.

But seeing as how neither game had any legs and Soul Sacrifice was long gone from any sales charts by the time Toukiden released, I don't really know what the basis for such a comment is.

Ummm... I never was lashing out a vita game, why did you take majorly offense to that, my example would of worked with any game, nintendo or sony.

"By this logic, every game release hurts every game (whether that be same franchise/genre/platform/etc). Toukiden hurted SS sales in japan for instance. Do we have to take every little thing into an account" ~ The Comment your referring too.

I was just stating that "every game hurts every game" in sales. I used NSMB as a previous example because of NSMBU+NSMB2 close release dates, then i used Toukiden+SS in this comparison because both are hunting games that released 4 monts apart.

You took it the wrong way, i never bashed/lashed out on Vita, i was just comparing random games. Would it of been more appropriate if i had used Nintendo games for my comment instead?

C'mon now, your really not giving me enough credit and thats messed up :-/

Because normally you're alright but you seem particularly on-edge every time people say anything about Smash.  To the point I've come to doubt the intentions behind what you're posting.

And again - what's the evidence for what you're saying?  Soul Sacrifice was long gone from the charts by the time Toukiden released.  Whereas Mario games (and Smash) tend to hover around in the charts for months, so I don't see the link.

I never meant exactly for it, i just remembered at the time both were hunting games that released on the same platform. I was just throwing random examples, i wasnt targeting it. In fact im not saying it did hurt sales, i was being sarcastic.

I was trying to literally say that it doesn't hurt (a big amount) sales when a franchise thats the same on different platforms or same genre (examples were NSMBU+NSMB2 or Toukiden+SS).

Now that i think about it, all i was trying to do was defend those games (in terms of hurting ones release)

I get what you mean about Smash+Mario with the legs, but i dont understand how some people think it majorly effects sales. Like my argument before with SSBU (example it sells 700k lifetime in japan, but if 3ds version was non existent then it would of sold something like 1.5mil-2mil)

Edit: Yes im on edge which is frustrating no doubt but C'mon, you came at me with Toukiden+SS (which i didn't mean to look like i said anything bad :) ) and thats one comment vs everyday something SSB bashing related. I bet if it were a game you liked you do the same. (if it was daily non stop topic

But a game I want to do well is bombing and people are pointing out that it's underperforming because it is.  It's less frequent than Smash, but it's still there.

Regarding the rest of your post, I genuinely don't understand what you're on about.  Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden were on the same platform.  The origin of the discussion, as least as far as I understood it, is that a version of a game on a more popular platform (3DS) released before a less popular platform (WiiU) hurt the sales of the game on that platform (plus hurt any potential hardware boost too).  So I don't understand how Soul Sacrifice & Toukiden fit into a similar situation.

I dont see people pointing that out daily^ but i guess we can kill that conversation now :'-(

I was defending the fact that not all games that release majorly effect other games. That was all, i guess Toukiden+SS was a bad example after my NSMB one. I was basically saying that SS "did not hurt" toukiden in sales (i said it the opposite way because it was sarcasm).

Me in that argument was trying to say not all games hurt each other to a huge extent. If you think my 2nd example of SS+Toukiden was a bad one, i understand that. Maybe it was going by your reaction. It just came up on my mind. I could of used Nintendo games/MS/Third party games. I was trying to make a point :)
