Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Electronic Arts. Could it be the fear talking.

Wait, if that's the case then why don't Sony fans hate Capcom?

*insert "even Sony fans don't care about the Vita joke" here*

Because Capcom isn't nearly as shitty to Sony as EA is to Nintendo. A lot of Vita fans are pretty butthurt with Capcom, though.

The GC, GBA, DS, Wii and 3DS have very little real EA support so I don't see the lack of EA on Wii U as being much of a problem with success of the console. Far from killing it.

It should also be noted that Sega was losing a lot of money on the DC, had huge amounts of debt, had a string of failed consoles and add ons and a failed portable console line up all on top of the EA thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bit of a coping mechanism involved here ("You're not putting your games on my system of choice? FINE! I didn't want them anyway!"), but it is entirely possible to be both disinterested in EA's games and annoyed by their shitty support for Nintendo. I think you're probably taking your armchair psychoanalysis too far with the fear of ending up like the Dreamcast stuff, though.

Yay. Badgey is on "our" side!... Correct?

OT: As you can see, I agree with what Badgenome has said. No further points are needed.

you make some interesting parallels. I think most people (including myself) want to know what happened between ninty and Ea. The psychotic hate stems from our blind love for Nintendo. Anyone that tries to hurt my princess peach needs to be destroyed

As a wii u owner, I can honestly say that I am a little upset about EA not supporting the console. Especially after claiming "unprecedented support" for the system. I however do not agree that EA not supporting the Wii U means the end of the console. I'm not big on sport games and I will be purchasing other next gen consoles, so I won't really be missing out on anything interesting that they release. But EA games were definitely not the reason I purchased a Wii U, although I do acknowledge that EA support can mean a huge difference to other gamers.

I guess only time will tell how much EA support can influence a consoles demise. But I do have to point out that even if they were to fully support the system, it doesn't exactly mean the Wii U was going to be super successful do to EA sports and other EA franchises. EA fully supported the gamecube if I'm not mistaken.

I don't really hate EA for it, I dislike them for many other reasons, ruining the dead space series is one of them. And mass effect's quality going down the drain only showed face after Bioware joined EA. Same with dragon age 2.

I'm annoyed at EA for saying they'll support the console and then doing the exact opposite. But the same criticism could be leveled at Nintendo at this point in time, so singling out EA seems a little harsh.

That said, I haven't bought an EA game since.... FIFA 07? Nothing personal, just their products don't appeal to me.

Capcom should issue a public statement that they will continue to evaluate potential future support for the Vita and that they are proud of the strong catalogue of games that they have already released for the system.

Needs moar "unprecedented partnership".

Let's try something realistic. Since Capcom had a Monster Hunter demo running on the Vita, they should give us a straight-forward answer why Monster Hunter hasn't come to the Vita yet and won't come in the foreseeable future. They should say that they couldn't get a full game to run on the Vita, because the system isn't capable enough. And that's why there's no Monster Hunter.

And then they should say, "You can always buy the PSP version from PSN and play that on your Vita."

Oh, wait. They did say that.

A rol badG dialogue is definitely worth the effort of a click.

OT: I have never heard the idea that no EA killed the Dreamcast. If I had I would have said it was dumb. As such I would never compare it to the Wii U situation.

Yes, finally someone acknowledges it.

I'll cop to a bit of coping. This whole affair makes me want to punch a hole in the wall, for reasons i cannot quite understand, but at the same time there's a legitimate reason to be bothered by how EA is acting even if, like me, you've never bought an EA game and have no interest in doing so.

Dodece, however, is just being Dodece. One of the mods (not me!) has a running bet that he's a rogue computer program meant to teach 5-paragraph essays.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
