I think they will cut the price a few months before the holidays to give It some momentum like they did with the 3DS. $249.99 for basic and $279.99 for deluxe around Aug/Sept when games like Pikmin, Wind Waker, Wii Party and a big marketing push arrive. Have Wii Fit and Mario Kart U in time for black friday along with bundles like basic w/Wii Fit+balance board and deluxe w/Mario Kart for $299.99. Save 3D Mario for early 2014 to keep high sales post holiday.

you still haven't learnt that when Nintendo says no about price cut, no it is.
they have been stubborn all their existence, but you still ask for something you know it is not coming no matter what. They cannot take the risk of loosing more money per system, if they have to go handheld only with the Wii U as an afterthought they will, at least just for this generation no matter what.
