asked that already but i will try once more. does anybody know which resolution and fps the game will have? if it will run with 60fps it's already very impressive for an early next gen title with open world. 720p and 30fps would be less impressive but still better as every other open world game on consoles.

I'm betting on 1080p @ 30fps (smooth, like the Uncharted games).

wouldn't 60fps and 720p make more sense for this game or doesn't it need 60fps? i have not really a clue about infamous but i thought it's one of those games which would profit from more frames.

What would make snese is 1080p @ 60fps, but things aren't always so perfect.

For this type of game, 30fps (smooth - remember) should suffice.

I'm pretty sure inFamous 1 and 2 ran at 30 FPS and I've platinumed both those games. Never really had an issue with frame rate. It all looked fine to me.

You haven't even played this character Ethomaz! How would you know if you don't like him =(.

Also I love your english =P. It's like a puzzle trying to figure out what you're trying to say haha =P

It is not about gameplay... it is more about the character design... the first Cole is still the best and cool character desing.

Yeah Cole McGrath is bad ass. Let's hope Delsin is also bad ass when it comes to the types of powers he can use. Smoke is certainly an interesting choice! I feel it's going to be more difficult this time around to gather the energy like you had to do with the inFamous games. Electricy is everywhere in inFamous 1+2 for Cole to absord but where the hell is Delsin gonna find smoke?!

well, i thought it's like with racing or sports games which can profit a lot from higher frame rates but like i said, i have no clue about infamous. just read that the ps3 games had 30fps but people say "it felt like 60fps from time to time". maybe it's the smoothy thing

Looks great to me. Hope its a launch title.

Bit sad to see insecure 'fans' bring other users appreciation of Nintendo into this though.

you mean even when the nintendo fan in quesion has been making it a habit recently to troll playstation threads?

Yeah I personally never had a problem with the FPS in the inFamous games. Maybe it was 30 but it felt extremely smooth to me even when there was a lot going on (explosions etc).

Only poblems were a few textre pop ups, but its not major the games still has great draw distance.

Don't forget Delsin can absorb other conduit's power's.  Now if we get to have them all at our disposable all at once still remains to be seen.

Can you say best beanie in a video game ever!!

Also I'm pretty sure Infamous 2 had an unlocked frame rate and ran occasionally at 60fps. Not sure about the first though. I'm sure if the second one did have an unlocked frame rate, then I'll bet that Second Son will be like that also.

If the game is 30 fps without any frame drop at all, then the experience feels really smooth. As long as the frame rate is locked at a multiple of 30, then it's really good to the eye.

I'm playing Wind Waker right now, and even if it's locked at 30 fps, it feels really, really smooth.

60 fps is good when timing is essential, like in fighting games and FPS games. But for third person games like infamous or Uncharted, locked 30fps is more than enough.

that's why i asked, i know all the stuff about the frames and the advantages but i thought timing is essential in infamous but maybe i was wrong with that (that's why i said "like in racing or sports games")

yeah,  i don't know much about this franchise
