EA. I feel dirty if I buy a new game from them. I buy their games used whenever possible.

Then you don't have the right to bitch about a studio getting shut down when several games they develop in a row fails to produce a profit.  You and others like you are part of the problem, especially since there's a good chance that you "may" have less of a reason to dislike EA than those of us who actually grew up with and played some of the major franchises that are no longer available, most which are exclusively PC.

You should save this post for when you see me bitching about them closing a studio. Protip: it won't happen.

Why would I ever bitch about there being one less EA controlled studio around? Also, I started gaming in the 80's. I grew up on EA as well. What does that matter? It doesn't change what a terrible company they are today.

If the problem is gamers like myself voting with my wallet and EA feels it, I'll gladly be part of the problem, thanks :)

Naughty Dog. You go from the magnificent, quirky, fun Jak( and Daxter) to...Uncharted? Really?

Bear in mind that Uncharted was supposed to be set in a fantasy setting, with Naughty Dog charm all over it, but Sony screwed them and forced them to make it more modern.

oh... i didnt know that

"If it hadn’t been for publisher pressure to push the series in a grittier direction, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series might have been a more fantastical series in the vein of Jak and Daxter."

None of them

Why would I feel bitter about a gaming company. If I don't like what they do I move on. No point in being bitter about it.

You're not bitter even if they destroy a franchise you love? You just simply..."move on"?

Yes.  It's just video games.  To get angry and worse allow bitterness stay with you is very odd in my opinion. Ruin my life or damage my family and I might have bitterness that stays with me.

I have a slight feeling you take things very seriously. Anyway, I think that anything you like that gets ruined by incompetent people will always get you a bitter taste, even if its small.

But that's just me.

Taking things seriously, objectively and being personal, subjective about them are two different things.  A fact missed by most here.

I am not smart enough to see what point does that make.

Yes he is taking the bitter too literal. It doesn't have to be a big deal.

Well that is the grown up thing to do. Real life worries and issues are more important to be bitter than one not liking a video game.

Well i guess i should thank Sony for that. At least now they have one shooter franchise hitting 5 million plus sales.

"Grown up thing to do". Allow me to disagree there. Real life worries and issues are far more worrying than a videogame, and I agree. But I repeat that something you like getting spoiled will always gave you a bitter taste, unless the bitter taste is a sweet taste. Nothing is written about tastes. It has nothing to do with a grown up thing.

You shouldn't thank them though. I never discussed the achivement Uncharted was. I pointed out what the other user was complaining. He wanted something more like Jak and Daxter but got disappointed with ND because of Uncharted. I just said that was Sony's fault. You shouldn't thank a company that pressures it's first party developers into changing their original concepts because of market share and mainstreaming quality. Especially not since Naughty Dog has proven previously to be a very creative studio.

You have right to disagree with that. I guess it matters to you that much.

@Sony messing with Naughty Dog. We don't know the inside story but i think Uncharted turned out great. They obviously provided them with far bigger budget the series. Also allowed them to split the studio into two teams and launch a new ip so late in the generation.

Also Uncharted is my favourite franchise this generation and i've already thanked Sony by buying 2 and 3 on launch days. I guess they don't really need a formal thank you and would be happy with my money.

People are too harsh. When a company does something new. They complain. When it does something similiar. Well they complain more.

@(what's this for? You made me laugh xD). As I said, I'm not discussing the achievement Uncharted was. You're not the only one, lots of people love Uncharted, myself included. No, I guess they don't.

You're missing my point. I'm not being harsh. I was pointing out facts. Sony forced Naughty Dog to change the concept of their game. Whether their older concept would have turned better or worse than Uncharted is irrelevant. You shouldn't thank a publisher who forces its developer into changing their vision of a game because of market share.
