Forums - Gaming Discussion - [Quick Thought] What game do you consider the most disappointment this gen?

L.A Noire. I really, really tried to like that game. I LOVED the atmosphere. But everything else was just plain easy, lifeless, not rewarding and plain boring.

Ah def la noire. I got it first day since I gave rockstar the benefit though it was made by bondi. I just got so bored when playing it though. I thought the detective part would be alot more fun I guess. It wasn't horribly bad by any means though, just kind of bland.

Aliens colonial marines...........................The first level was great.......then it just turned 2 S#@T. I was so pumped for that game and it just turned out 2 be rubbish, Glitches, poor graphics, crappy AI, and you spent more time killing other marines and stupid morphed aliens then the actual Xenomorphs.........FFS! when I play anything 2 do with Aliens I WANNA SHOOT XENOMORPHS! thats it!

hmm I dunno, I investigate quite a bit before I buy games to avoid disappointments. I had high hopes for Max Payne 3 but it wasn't like the Max Payne of old. Still good, but it didn't have that "special" factor MP1 had.

I never though that Max Payne 3 could top what Max Payne 1 did. Bearing that in mind, I found the game pretty impressive. After L.A Noire I thought they might screw a franchise I love.

The gameplay was there but it felt more like a typical Rockstar action game than the cool, noir feel of MP1. Damn, that game is so quotable. O.O

"I didn't like the way the show started, but they had given me the best seat in the house, front row center."

"It was a lucky break. The goons inside were spooked, but luck always came with a price tag."

"Collecting evidence had gotten old a few hundred bullets back. I was already so far past the point-of-no-return I couldn't remember what it had looked like when I had passed it."

"You'd find that Lady Luck was really a hooker, and you were fresh out of cash."

"Rico Muerte. You know, the typical Keyser Söze". =P

You're comparing MP1 to MP3. MP3 doesn't reach anywere the style MP1 had. But if you stop comparing these for a moment, I think MP3 was particulary well-done and respectful to the original source, even if it has less memorable scenes and focuses way more on the classic action game. Having set it up on Brazil didn't help either.

Resident Evil 6

I'll put in another vote for LA Noire. A really poorly conceived game presented in shiny packaging that duped reviewers and players (me) alike.

The Last Story wasn't good either.

Probably my own fault for expecting too much, even though I knew that it was from the guy who created Final Fantasy. Biggest disappointment in any gen: One mainline Final Fantasy game, minimum.

I don't think the game is bad, unless you had expecting the Stars. I would say Last Story reaches the Moon.

Final Fantasy XIII? or maybe GTA IV.
