Xbox Live is a like paying for a premium car. It is not that any one feature makes it worth the money, but it is the combination of all the features that make it better (in my own experience).

Really? I buy much more stuff now because of the discounts, I even switched to a 750 Gigabytes Hard Drive.

You can also play those games you bought on the discount even if you stop paying for gold.

Ok them. I have both consoles, but my xbox360 is offline for 3 years...


For example, I bought Geometric Wars 2 with a 75% disccount, without being Gold.

Are you suggesting if I stop paying for ps+, the games I bought on discount will no longer work...eventhough I paid something, however little for them?

if i want cheap games i buy them for pc where i get them cheaper as with gold or ps+ without the need to pay for a service so if you really want to argue like that, both services are bad. i mean deus ex? that did only cost 5 bucks end of last year without a paid service.

but shoud i open a new thread every new day because of that? probably not...

I've stated that I had no need to pay for anything to get huge discounts. But yeah, I won't argue with you whether the PC gets all the good offers xD

If you aren't interested in any of the Xbox exclusives then there is absolutely zero reason to pay for Live.

And given that Halo-Gears-Forza have been the only real exclusives MS has been churning out as of late, Sony has them beat on variety of exclusives as well at least, if not quality as well, which is arguable so I'll leave that aspect out.

So yeah, once this gen ends, I'm also jumping ships. I'd much rather get games to add to my collection for money than get....urm...nothing I guess. Until then unfortunately I've built too big of a 3rd party MP software lineup on 360 to stop paying for Gold as ridiculous as the prospect is at this point.
