Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox 720 is going to be killer.

"Imagine talking to NPC and have them responding in ways you never imagine"

Me: "Hey what's up?"

NPC: I'm sorry I did not recognize that.

Me: Hows it going?

NPC: Sorry, I didn't quite get that. Could you repeat that please.

Me: I need information

NPC: I'm sorry we are having trouble with your commands. Goodbye...

No... I already have a fucking issue with automated messages calling a company. I would fucking hate trying to talk to NPCs especially since the mic would pic up a lot of noise from speakers from the game.

It's amazing to me that after all these years, there is so much Xbox hate.

People ranting or saying the new Xbox will suck and Microsoft has already dropped the ball, when Microsoft has even shown the system to the public.

Amazing just amazing.

What is Playstation Nation afraid of the, Xbox 720 outdoing your beloved PS4.

Come on if that's it you can tell me I won't tell anybody.

I am glad Internet Gamers are in the minority because 77 Million people own Xbox 360. Which means nobody cares what you are saying. HA!

I am excited for the Xbox 720 and so are these guys. HA!

Yep.. extremely excited to see the online features MS has in store. I have no doubts they will do something to put the next generation of Live as far ahead of PS4's online offering as 360 was to PSN.

Kinect 2 intriguing as well. All sorts of potential there for many different types of games. If its included in every system then that makes for a large install base and would hopefully result in more publishers pushing better games on it.

Now Imagine all those graphics in the following games:

Halo 5  - Another Halo?

Gears of war 4  - Not interested after all the Locust die in 3

Perfect Dark 2 - Not Announced, but after the lackluster Perfect Dark Zero, does anyone care?

Forza 5 - Hopefully not in 2013, I still have to beat FM4 and Horizon, I'm saturated.

Respawn Game  - Childrens Company

Ryse - Wasn't this suppose to be a 360 game? I'm not getting excited twice, lets see a release date first

and other unanounced games.

Now Imagine all those games having Kinect integration of some sort, where you use your voice or certain gestures for in-game commands.  - I know, scary

Imagine being able to talk to NPC's and watching them listen to you or even react in a way you never thought they would. - I'd rather not talk to AI, and doesn't Kinect only recognize a few hundred words?

Imagine playing with the new xbox controller and being able to seamlessly chat or video chat with friends through skype and even switching between friends  - Why would I video chat while playing a game? Can I call my friends cell phone, no, so this is pointless.

Anyone that thinks Microsoft will drop the ball, haven't been paying attention.

I have been, and it's all sequels and Kinect. I'm sick of sequels, I don't want to play a "new" game from the same series every couple years, or even every year (in the case of Halo). I want to play something different every year, and at minumum, come back to the same game in 3 years. This way there can actually be some differences between iterations (I think Forza 4 was a step backward, that's how quick it was developed).

As for Kinect, I really don't care. Only a handful of Wii games really utilized the Wii-mote to enhance gameplay (Skyward Sword and Metroid Prime 3 come to mind), and the rest were conventional games. With PS4 a mirror system to the 720, most games will not be designed from the ground up to enhance gameplay using Kinect, and no driving without a wheel, with autobrake/gas is not "enhancing" Forza.

---

That's my 2 cents as a 360 owner. Loved the system for 4-5 years, then got tired of the massive amount of sequels, XBLG, sudden abandonment of JRPG exclusives, and the random shift to Kinect games which requires an add on, which costs nearly as much as the system.

"this"

No seriously, I don't understand the sudden hype for 720, when 360 fans have been completely absent in forums for the past 3 years. If the 720 is to be "a killer" it has to be different then the 360, not a continuation of the same franchises, Kinect, and XBLG.

Their three big mistakes so far have been the price tag, the always online debacle, and their refusal to ever let Kinect just die peacefully.

the price tag and the always online are only just rumors and have never been confirmed by anybody

Comments like that are why I have face palms up. LOL!

If by "Killer" you mean it's gonna RROD on us, than yeah, you're probably right :P

But seriously, I'm still completely neutral on 720, simply because I know nothing about it. I'm eagerly awaiting the reveal, and hoping for: relatively cheap price ($300-$400), no blocking used games or always online, and gamewise - Gears 4, Rareware game that isn't some Kinect garbage, new Bungie IP, and new Elder Scrolls for starters. Then I will start to get excited.

Why did he put Call of Duty in the article? It's not exclusive unless they're doing some timed DLC stuff(again).

You're saying the 720 will be the next coming of Christ and it will be the console of all consoles. Others are saying that Microsoft has already "dropped the ball". Why do you even care? You predict the 720 will be amazing, others predict it won't. End of story. None of the sides have facts to back up their statements because Microsoft HASN'T ANNOUNCED ANYTHING!

Oh yeah...HA!
