Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii U-3D Mario, Kart, Smash Bros

Sakurai isn't going to allow Smash 4 to be released until he is sure it is of maximum quality - that means it might get delayed once or twice. If it means a higher quality experience, I wouldn't mind waiting until 2015 - but 2014 would be prime

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Their plan is following closely in the footsteps of the 3DS' first year:

Zelda remake with improved graphics + new 3D Mario + new Mario Kart + price drop = sales turnaround (hopefully).

I don't want them to release them THAT close together because my Mario Kart Wii playtime was kind of diminished by the fact that I was still obsessed by Brawl when it came out.

Signature goes here!

I would think Mario, Kart, Smash and Zelda will be the "tentpole" franchises for the next 16 months. Mario and Kart this fall, Smash next summer and Zelda next fall. X, Bayonetta, Reto's game, Yoshi, Wii games and others - some probably outsourced - will be spread out to fill the gaps in between.

I don't think Zelda is coming any time soon, Zelda: TWW being thrown out quickly seemed to be a wink at that.

My guess is Donkey Kong Country U will be out for fall 2014 from NST.

I am pretty excited to see what Nintendo has in store for us over the next year or two.

This is kinda what I think:

Wii Fit U Summer/Fall 2013
Mario 3D Fall/Holiday 2013
Mario Kart Fall/Holiday 2013
Yarn Yoshi Spring 2014
Bayonetta 2 Spring 2014
Wii SPorts U Spring/Summer 2014
SSB4 Fall/Holiday 2014
"X" Fall/Holiday 2014
Retro's game sometime in 2015
Zelda U sometime in 2015
Donkey Kong U sometime in 2015 (possibly even in 2014)
Metroid U sometime in 2015/2016 (possibly even in 2014)

And we'll see Animal Crossing in 2014/2015 and Star Fox in 2015/2016, and perhaps even a F-Zero in 2015 (depending on how it does on the VC)!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I think we'll see Pikmin in August, Zelda WW in September, Wii Fit U in October, and 3D Mario in November. Ninty will release Wii Play U either between Pikmin and Zelda or release it in December/January. They will realize Mario Kart and 3D Mario being released to close could harm each other. Mario Kart will release in February or March depending on the WiiUs momentum after the holiday. Yarn Yoshi will probably be February with Kart in March.

That seems way too late. Unless it's Retro's second game :)

I'm having a much bigger interest in them non EAD 1st party titles.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

Cross fingers...
