nintendo will put a football game with nintedo characters.... that would be a good response to EA's good partnership

That would be Super Mario Strikers 3 xD

I wouldn't mind another one, but they should do something about those trick goals and keep Luigi's theme.

And there's Inazuma Eleven too.

WHERE IS MARIO STRIKERS 3!?!?!

Mario Smash Football wasn't bad at all, but Mario Strikers: Charged was the best game on Wii for me. Also by far the most played. They absolutely nailed it as a competitive multiplayer title. I spent more hours playing that with mates on a Saturday night than most people rack up on Call of Duty. FIFA never got a look in after that.

So EA aren't putting Madden on a "major home console" last system that happened to was the Sega Dreamcast RIP :(

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

This thread is already making my head hurt. You can't write off the Wii U yet, because as we saw with the 3DS, Nintendo can allow it to bounce back. And it's not the same time as the N64 and GCN days now, everyone knows Mario and the such like. They sell by the bucketload regardless of what system they're on.

But this isn't what the thread was about. So all I'll say on that regard is it would just be better for EA to be honest with Nintendo really, but when the next-gen versions of Madden, FIFA etc. sell around 200-300k maximum, what will they say then?

They'll say, "Hey, that's just what we were expecting! By the by, buy the new football played DLC coming soon!"

OT: By my own opinion, I couldn't care at all if it were to come or not. At a business angle, this is just plain tom-foolery!

What do you mean? I think they really nailed the trick shots in the sequel. Trick goals are nigh on impossible to pull off against decent skilled players. If you have the space/have given enough space for someone to be able to comfortably pull off a trick shot, you've ballsed up somewhere lol. Did love that the sequel made them saveable too. I think the trick goals on Charged were perfect. Also love the sidekick special moves but again, with the charge time playing with ur character positioned correctly means these strikes should be few and far between.

I'm guessing FIFA 14 will be making an appearance on Wii U though, but it was conspicuous by it's absence when the PC/360/PS3 versions were announced.

By trick goals I mean teleporting past the goalkeeper and things like that.

not just mario... i wanna see a machamp in the game XD

I can't wait for EA to lose the NFL license. A move like this is certainly going to put it in at least a little jeopardy.
