Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Madden a NO GO for Wii U this year. EA reaffirms it still has a "Strong Partnership" with Nintendo.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/34079

The Madden series will not be appearing on Wii U in 2013, according to an EA Sports representative.

After speculation that the system would miss out on this year's Madden NFL 25, it is now confirmed that the series will skip Nintendo platforms for the first time since 1991.

Last year, a version of Madden NFL 13 came out for both Wii and Wii U. The Nintendo 64, GameCube, and Wii all had versions of Madden throughout their lives. In 2011, the 3DS launched with a version of Madden, and after that, EA confirmed that the series was not appearing on Nintendo's portable again.

The official statement from EA Sports is: "We will not be releasing a Wii U version of Madden NFL in 2013. However, we have a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future."

Strong partnership? lol good one EA

Tis' a joke..."strong partnership"? Bullshit, you won't even spend the $1 Mil for a cheap port of a cash-cow franchise...

EA......actions speak louder than words. Nintendo clearly isn't in your good books these days, I'd rather you were honest about it, rather than this passive-aggressive nonsense.

I haven't been a big fan for a long time but I've still enjoyed FIFA every couple of years. If the Wii U gets anything other than a full, feature-rich FIFA this year, I'm out, for good.

I guess this means no FIFA either, probably no EA stuff on Wii U this fall period.

In Japan maybe, in Europe/North America no chance. Mario Kart U alone is far bigger than anything the Vita will get for the West.

The Vita is selling worse than the GameCube in the West (well erm, Japan too). And far (faaaaaar) worse than the N64. The N64 actually was very strong in North America.

I'm not saying Nintendo's own games will "save" the Wii U from being something much bigger than the N64/GCN, but they should allow the system to outpace the Vita easily in the long run in the West.

so is the wii u, the vita atleast has japan to save it, while the wii u doesn't

plus the wii u is only slightly outselling the vita in america, while we have no clue what is selling more in europe
