Save the money 86 35.25%

If you haven't ever been a big fan of portable gaming (me neither), then you should save the money for the WiiU. Seems like a better long-term investment.

Handheld fan or not, 3DS have tons of quality games even compared to homo console standards. Kid Icarus is one of my favorite game all consoles included (fire emblem is really good to). There is also MK that is imo the best MK to date, SM3DL, Paper Mario(not the best in the series but still awfully underrated), Luigi's Mansion, and this year I'm planning on buying DKContry Returns, Animal Crossing and PokémonX.

As for the WiiU, imo there is alot of games coming. Starting July, I'm planning on buying 1 WiiU game a month till the end of the year. June:Wonderfull101 (if june launch rumors are true, if not maybe Game in Wario(cause it will only be 40$)), August:Pikmin3, September:Rayman Legends, October:Zelda WW HD(if october launch rumors are true), November:Mario 3D(if rumors are true), December:Mario Kart(if rumors are true). There is also Bayonetta2 and X that we have no idea when they are coming out. + Watch Dog, AC4 and Batman Arkham Origin. That is ALOT of games that I will have in my library before year's end. (already have Nintendo Land, NSMBU, Batman:AC, ZombiU, Scribblenauts and Lego City)

To my personal taste, 3DS have a better current library, but WiiU has more in the way till year's end. But if games are so expansive in your country, both probably have more games currently and on their way than you can afford so it will depend on wich consoles are the games you will want to play the most. To better judge that, I think you should wait till E3 in just a month to make a better decision.

What?! I can't hear you over all this awsome! - Pyrrhon (Kid Icarus:Uprising)

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow...FIRE! - Wonder-Red (The Wonderful101)

I think you pretty much answered your own question. If you don't like handheld gaming, then don't get a handheld. Save up for the Wii U, I'm sure you'll feel like you spent your money better buying that.

I would go for the 3ds even though your not much of a handheld gamer. Reasons being is that its pretty much like a portable ps2. It has tons of great games out now and on the way. Has the most 3rd party support out of every system on the market today, and the graphics are much better than the ds. I would wait for the Wii U because who knows, there could be a price drop coming later this year or by the time you decide to get one. Plus if you get one now, you will be waiting awhile to get games other than MH3U and ZombiU. The next really big game for the Wii U that comes out will be Pikmin 3, and that does not come out until August.:/

If there's a Wii U price cut this year and depending on how big it is I might be able to get it by the end of the year. But that's a gamble I'm not sure I will be willing to make.

There are more games on the 3DS that I'm interested atm than I ever was for the DS. When I think about it, the only 3 games I really really enjoy on my DS were Golden Sun, Mario & Luigi Bowser Inside story and 999....how the heck could I forget Virtue's last reward for the 3DS? That also goes on the list!

When do you think you'll have enough money saved up for the Wii U?

If the price stays the exact same, I will have the money by mid next year (this of course saying nothing unexpected happens). A price cut will most likely happen, and depending on how big it is I might be able to get it this year or early next year.

And that's without buying a 3DS?

With buying a 3DS. If I don't buy it I will surely have the money for the Wii U by October.

Saying that I will be able to get the Wii U (with buying a 3DS) later this year with a price cut will mean the price cut needs to be for $75 aprox. (that doesn't include a game)
