It is completely deserved. These rumors that are going around are horrible and very anti-consumer.

Some rumors, not all. That is why I am surprised why you say "completely deserved".

The rumored negative "features" of this console far outweigh any positives.
if these "features" were rumored for the PS4, you would expect the same response. This isn't just Sony fans that are against it, its gamers in general.

Can you find a quote from you where you hated the idea of blocking of used games on PS4 (when it was rumored that it would not play used games).  Don't worry if you don't find it we all expected that from you.

Edit:  No need to search anymore,  Carl already find what kind of person you really are. People like you are the ones making the PS community look like idiots hope you proud of yourself.

Don't feel the need to go through my old posts. Feel free to do it though. Or ask Carl.

(You dont like me, I get it. But calm down. We're all here to have a civil discussion. The last thing we need is people getting banned. Don't make this personal, stay on topic.)

Put it down to fear... Or at last apprehension.

There actually isn't any other explanation.

Somini has been repeatedly warned and even banned for it... But he continues. Why?

Reported.

Dude, you'll get banned for saying that. Edit your post quick.

Thing is mostly there were not soo many bad rumors but they got repeatedly posted. Also the most recent ones should weigh more than the older ones and they look a lot like what Sony is doing. But subjective perception is of course also a factor which forms an opinion.

Sony is planning on making the PS4 unusuable without an internet connection?  Show me a source.
Sony is planning on blocking used gamse? This rumor has been debunked.

This is different. I initially had doubt of the rumors since they are obviously very anti-consumer just like anyone else would. But these Xbox rumors keep getting repeated over and over and over again and by different sources and websites. There has to be some truth to them or these things have at least been considered by Microsoft. Hopefully all these negativity is being noticed by Microsoft.

There is nothing different at all VGKing.

A rumor is a rumor. It doesnt matter where the rumors start, all that matters is where the rumors finish. You shouldnt listen to them. You shouldnt let them change your opinion on a person, a company or a videogame console.

Hopefully Microsoft doesn't go through with these rumored plans. Hopefully they focus on the hardcore gamers which will be dishing out $500 for this thing this holiday.

Yeah. A whole lot of hate and negativity because of rumors is deserved.

I been telling people rumors like this are stupid...and now look how its affecting Gamestop...
I think at the worst this would act as a sort of "online pass" blocking content on the disc if you buy used, with the option to unlock the full game. It would essentially turn used games into no more than demos. This would actually be a good idea as it would lower the price of used games so people would be able to try more games

The irony is here. When the PS4 rumors were going round then "rumors like this are stupid" and it could be turned into a "good idea". Now youre saying the hate on Microsoft is completely deserved because of rumors.

You need to give your head a shake.

well duh. One is a Sony console, the other is not.

Hate is deserved. MS has created barely any new core aaa ip's this generation and I feel as if they will do the same next gen. They just don't seem to care about gaming so they can rot for all I care.

No, he wasnt hating. The rumors were stupid and if true, it could be used positively.

Yeah I read your post and changed mine.     Well I just ad him to my to block list.

Block list? Where is that? :)

It's really funny that even though the 360 sold more than the ps3, ps3 fans outnumber 360 fans by at least 4/1 on the internet.

If microsoft even thinks of making the console always online It is rightfully deserved! We don't want that shit

I don't think it's extreme negativity towards the Nextbox, but rather, extreme negativity towards the rumors of the Nextbox. Since rumors are all we have right now, that's what people are going to talk about. Which of course isn't necessarily indicative of people's perception of the actual console, since we haven't seen it yet. However, I will add that Microsoft's silence certainly isn't helping the situation.
