Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft finally makes a compelling Windows Phone ad, makes fun of Samsung and Apple rivalry

Software drives business and Microsoft doesn't have it. It wont be long before they are out of phone business.

Meh.

Why not use the air time to show us what is unique about your product, and why we should buy it over rival products?

QFT

that funny, because in the ads the litéraly said that no one know about the phone :), like the zune ... infact it look alot like it too ..

I like the "do not attempt" at 0:30. Made me chuckle.

The reason Windows Phony application store is growing faster than other platforms is that it was two years late to the game. They are just ported from other platforms. It is a nice platform for low cost phones though.

I thought it was a good ad. Wouldn't switch to one because of it though.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

The ad was fun but it does little to show what makes the Windows phone a great product.

This "Don't Fight, Switch." thing is interesting, but it does nothing for the actual phone. I don't know why someone would by a Windows Phone because of it... It was funny, though.

One of the comments in the video "the video also represents windows phone very well! there are only 2 users out of the crowd. :D" lol.

OT: My friend really complains from the lack of apps. I've had an iphone and a have an S3 now, and although iOS has more apps, Android offers most of the apps for free which really won me over. When Windows starts competing with iOS and Android in apps they will get more users.
