Forums - Gaming Discussion - How come if you don't like an exclusive title you are automatically biased?

It seems to me you just don't like B-tier games. At least, your 360 & PS3 list seems heavily populated with them.

Which is almost the exact opposite of my preference in games. I tend to like the slightly-lower budget stuff and am not such a fan of the AAA games. I've never been called out for being biased for disliking Gran Turismo, Forza, Killzone or Gears, though!

Perhaps it's something more to do with your attitude. But I don't really know what the answer to your question is.  Kinda mostly drifted off-topic with this post, whoops.

You didn't lie Banjo Nuts & Bolts?! I guess I'm one of the only people that really liked the game :( .

Nah.  I was let down by it.  Might have been because my expectations was to high but I'd prefer a traditional Banjo & Kazooie over one that is focused on cars.  Also I wasn't a big fan of the characters new looks.

How come it can't just be I like this game because it is good or i don't like this game because I think it is bad?  Why does there always have to be some hidden agenda behind it?

It has nothing to do with having a hidden agenda. If you tend to like company A games more than company B games, then you obviously have a preference for company A games. Having preferences means you are biased. That doesn't mean your preferences are unreasonable or that you don't genuinely think a game is good/bad. Being biased is just another way to say you have preferences, formally at least.

Well if a game is liked by a lot of people then you will get more people against you for some reason. Say I said I disliked Halo, that would imply that I dislike MS, which would imply I dislike Xbox 360 since Halo has a huge attach rate. ( I like Halo, and generally do not dislike a game enough to say that I dislike it lol)

Same If I said that about Mario.

PS is kinda different since their is not too high of 1st party sellers. Their is GT but you could say u dislike Racing games and they would understand.

I don't get much accusations of being biased but whenever I mention that I don't like Halo, Gears and Fable, or Uncharted, Heavy Rain and The Last of us, I become slightly uncomfortable.

People who expect you to have a hidden agenda probably have hidden agendas.

You don't like Animal Crossing? Wow... I can see why that person would see you as biased. Who doesn't like Animal Crossing. No wait, I'll answer that for you. Evil people. Only evil people don't like Animal Crossing.

I can understand you; however, there's something wrong with saying The Last of Us. You could say the game is not grabbing you, but you can't say you don't like it. You haven't tried it even.

Speaking about The Last of Us, that's because you said some things that were flat out false about the game, and the VGChartz community had to prove you wrong. I have the thread bookmarked if you need a refresher.

Correct.
