I don't think you fully understand why the wiiU is failing.  It's failing because Nintendoland isn't as great of a hit as wii-sports.   It's failing because pikmin 3 still has yet to be released.  It's failing because raymon legends was delayed, it's failing because the titles that both casuals and hardcore gamers want, aren't on the wiiU.  But eventually, those titles will come out, and when they do the wiiU will dominate the 720/ps4.  Personally, I think the ps3/360 will outsell the 720/ps4 for the next few years, the graphical leap isn't large enough to where 3rd party devs won't be developing their games on the last gen consoles.  And honestly, it may be 2-3 years before the 720 and ps4 really take off, and sony may not be able to last that long(due to their current financial problems).  The wiiU will be fine since the wii isn't supported, But the biggest sellers for the ps4 are multiplats that will likely be on the ps3, Sony exclusives don't sell very well.  The 720 will be in a little better position because they do have halo, but honestly, I'm worried about next-gen.

im sorry, but nobody will take you seriously with a statement like that.

wii dominated ps360 releasing one year after 360 and at the same time as ps3 while having MUCH inferior hardware. wii u has one year advantage and is little behind hardware wise. I know it doesnt matter what I say, you won't change your mind. but just remember not to disrespect others like you just did. If you can't prove him wrong through a vision of the future then don't say he won't be taken seriously. the wii u might dominate the others or it might be the other way around or maybe it will be balanced.

through my analyses I say wii u will dominate and at the very least you can't discard the option just like that, look at wii, 3ds and vita.

just forget it. i dont want to get into an argument about wii u and its sales because i'll just end up getting banned. its nice that some are still optimistic about the wii u but looking at its current state, i really dont see how anyone can be.

Please just explain what exactly that state is. Because what i see is a console that's new to the market with a drought period of games about to end. after holydays 2013 we will al have a better idea of how it will fare.

Xbox will take the U.S. and maybe U.K. but the rest of the world it will be PS4. Xbox won't have a year headstart nor will it have a big price advantage.

I don't get why some people can't see that it was the motion controls that made the Wii sell like it did. Without that novelty it's just another N64/Gamecube. The tablet controller just isn't as interesting as the wii mote was and it won't get the whole family to stand up and play. That's what made the Wii interesting, the active gameplay and it was accesible for everybody.

You guys really all got taken in by a DarkLord2008 thread?

My my... The site'll eat red meat no matter who throws it out there.

People who don't "get" Nintendo don't understand that the motion controls were not the dominant factor, it was Nintendo getting its head out of its ass regarding making mainstream software for the first time since the SNES era. Early Wii/DS era was a reflection of gen 3/4 Nintendo, late Wii/DS era, early Wii U/3DS is a reflection of gen 5/6 Nintendo.

If Nintendo gets their shit together, properly, then Wii U will certainly at least be a contender.

Edit: oh dear, now i too have been sucked in.

ironic. just wait till... i thought that was the slogan for the sony fanbase according to you guys.

the wii u will sell betterl in holiday time but it wont be much more than 3-4mil retailers wont order much more than 4x more than previous quarters and the Wii  u only shipped 500k last quarter. and i doubt nintendo is producing uch more than that. if the wii u does get an unprecedented boost and start selling well it will be capped from supply issues.

basically, dont expect nintendo to be in a much better place until the very least next year. 8mil sold by years end.

What mainstream software are you reffering to? The Mii games like Wii sports and Wii Fit all centered around the controllers they came with. Again without these controllers the Wii would not have been appealing to casuals. The only thing Wii-U has is the tablet controller but people aren't really atracted to that, they have been playing games on tablets for years now. And again it's not an active type of gameplay like with the Wii mote or the Wii fit.

wii u has the multiplatforms the ps4 and nextbox will have + countless quality exclusives, all at a lower price. if that's not enough for someone to buy it, that person is not a gamer in any sense.
