Activision supports Nintendo: CEO gets more money.
EA doesn't support Nintendo: CEO gets fired.

Industry, take note.

Nice FIFA 12.5, ME3 instead of the trilogy. NFS was the only legit title. You forgot about the 6 month development time Madden 12.5.

Apparantly to release a new CoD every year until it gets worn out is a strategy worth a raise.

Looks like 30 poll voters are bitter and jealous.

Guy has done a great job for the company, investors are happy with him, and he's being rewarded.

I don't mind because Activision is one of the very small handful of big publishers to not rape us this gen with day one DLC, online passes, etc.

Its not jealousy.  Did any other employee at Activision recieve an 800% raise?

The fact Kotick got such a raise without the financial committe giving any detailed reason why is a major red flag

No its just that the workers themselves should have seen raises through-out the board not their CEO getting an 800% pay increase. How would you feel after all the hard work you done at your place of work if at the end of the year your pay stayed the same while your CEO got paid more then you could ever make in your life?

Bloomberg goes into detail about his compensation package.

Also, no, I highly doubt any other Activision employee got that kind of payment. Nor should they. He's the head hauncho.

Developers typically get bonuses based on sales and other things. We have no idea what anyone else there is paid. Either way, if they don't want their pay to "stay the same" then don't sign the contract.

Seeing the huge fiasco with half of Infinity Ward leaving, including their studio heads (who made Call Of Duty), it wouldn't be far fetched to think there's been issues with how employees are paid by Activision. The CEO getting such a huge pay rise at the same of such events definitely does strike as questionable if not shady.

$64.9 million during the year, but I bet there are hundreds of people working much harder/efficiently making probably $40k a year in that company. CEOs work hard, but they don't need or deserve $64.9 million in compensation/benefits.

I don't know the situation but I would not be surprised if they all got a bonus...Yes it happens when they hit a goal that they git a bonus....The devs from Rockband got it,  Epic and etc..
