You can get it for $20 on PC today. I forget the website but Ill try and find it again

I saw the PS3 version for $25 on ebay today after hearing about this and I might pick it up now (seems like a game I might resell so I want a disc).

It's actually fantastic game.  If you like Uncharted you will love it.  I think it actually out did uncharted in some ways but I wont get into that.  Both are amazing :)

I never could find where I saw it.  Im pretty sure I saw it on some youtube video though.  Can't remember.

The game was outrageously paced. It wasnt believable imho, but it was fun while it lasted. It had Uncharteds style but embellished upon. IF they wanted to create this game they couldn've just called it Rambo goes to Japan.

It had expanded gameplay, better shooting mechanics, and an RPG style.  The only people Ive seen complain about the game are hardcore sony fans.  Also uncharted is unbelievable.  I've said it before but it comes down to if you like a ligh-hearted story more than a mature dark story.

UNcharted is more light-hearted and uses humor through out the game

Tomb Raider is more dark, menacing, and gory.

That is what it comes down to but when it comes to gameplay Tomb Raider definitely has more options than Uncharted. I already know how you are and I don't even know if you have played both, wouldn't shock me either way.

They both are amazing and preferences will play a big factor.  For me I will not choose which one I like more but I'm not going to lie, the game play I'll give the edge to Tomb Raider as well as the graphics.  Story is too different and comes down to preferences

Also they was not in Japan and has no Japanese in it what so ever which makes me question you even more.

I wonder if they overshipped or if the publisher dropped the price less than 2 months after release since it retails for $35 now on PS360.

Once again this shows that the popular calculations done here about any game's revenue and profitability on the $60 full price assumption are flawed.

Square Enix actually outlined that issue.  Can't remember how they worded it.  Something about retailer insurance.  They were allowed to stuff the channel under condition they rebate unsold copies.  Quite a lot of unsold copies there are (Since, you know, Square Enix expected 5 million in less than a month.)

:O

I see it for 25 Euros on greenmangaming

That was it.  There is a code you could use with that and it takes off $5 to get it to 20.

Doesn't work with that deal. I tried it :/. Unless the US get another code

That sucks then :/ I never could find what video I saw it on.  I'm pretty sure it was mahinima though so it likely was a U.S. code.

They shipped 3.4m copies so there is still over 1m copies in stores.  It will sell through them though, just not as fast as what they wanted it to.  As long as they make a 2nd game I'll be happy though.  It certainly has been a success, just maybe not as much as they wanted it to be.

Eidos was very happy with the game.  They were actually very happy with the game's sales.  Their publisher wasn't (But that mismanaging mess has been discussed at lengths in the other threads.)

Uncharted is light hearted, but becomes dark as the story is better paced. The only game where the story started out dark is Uncharted 3. Uncharted 2 was had twists and turns in the story that kept people on the edge of their seat. Drake is a survivor much like Lara also goes up against the supernatural but much more in the vein of indiana jones unlike lara whose story was just way out there. It has more color, life and the Sully and chole are two characters who aren't the most trust worthy, but their unpredictability helps with the twists and turns of Uncharted. If I had a choice of who I could get with I would pick chole but I can definitely understand why Elena is the love of his life. She never leaves his side. Chloe is more like Lara Croft of old than the new Lara croft is.

Tomb Raider has built upon what Uncharted built for itself, but it isnt refined at all. Responses to shotgun fire is ungodly from the ai, Ive got a guy in the face three times. It literally took three shots. The Guards are rip offs of Uncharted and are actually dumber. The models of the characters are very limited, so certain people who played certain roles like Laras first kill resurfaces again, and again and again and again like an ungodly glitch. I had no problem shooting him in the face again, but it was just annoying. The characters are not likeable....they story was definitely wanting. Laras injuries and movement are not believable for three days on an island with life threatening injury with a bar. This game has so much to critique in retrospect.

I stopped at Uncharted being dark.  That is laughable.

No really I continued reading and I disagree with you completely.  Some characters were meant ot be unlikable while othhers was.  It was built to have a complex plot to show you how she becomes a Tomb Raider so it needed diverse roles which we got.

The animations are superb so Im not even going to get into that, and I can say the same about uncharted about shooting people multiple times with a shotgun.  Not to mention grenades.

Yes Lara had got stabbed which she later dissinfects and passes out.  Also lets not forget how many times we have seen drake maraculously live through things that he shouldn't have.

And as for the copy cat things that you mention, this is exactly what I was talking about with hardcore sony fans. They try to downplay Tomb Raider simply because they are similar to one another.  Let's not forget that Uncharted was also similar to Tomb Raider before Tomb Raider was similar to Uncharted.  There is also a ton of differences betweent the two to make them unique in their own ways.

No wonder this game was released here a lot cheaper then the usual full priced games. SE shipped a lot to retailers and they didn't think the game would sell a lot. Im sure it actually did decent cause retailers increase the price of the game a few days later.
