Mass effect 2. Action and rpg well balanced with a focus on story and characters. Pretty much me as a gamer! :)

Rings of Power on the sega megadrive. Game was made by naughty dog, massive open world rpg. I proudly can say I finished it without using the walk through.
Its a great game, most of the game music is amazing.

I play quite a bit of games hardcore through out the years but the stand outs are....

Street Fighter and Both Devil May Cry Series

Im a Tourney SF 2, Alpha and 4 player.... Unfortunatly not 3 :( even though i love 3

I also play MVC, Tekken and KOF

I have 100% complete beating on all difficulties and bloody palace in all DMC games from 1-4 (yes even 2.....) and DmC with SSS rankings

back in my prime i even beat DMC3 on DWD mode which is a fan made up mode where you played DMD (the highest difficulty) from a new game (meaning you start the game from scratch with out new game plus)

As for RPGs

i played the Suikoden series from 1-3 pretty hardcore back in the day collecting all 108 characters in all games....haven't bothered with the new Suikoden games though.

Sounds hardcore to me. I use to love fighters as well, and think I was last competitive with Soul Calibur. I was a demon in that game when using Mitsurugi and Siegfried - ah the memories. Anyways, life happened and I found it difficult to maintain that level of competitiveness and have a family life and a gaming life outside of fighting games. I was awesome in Tekken 3 as well and loved CvS 2

Vagrant Story: because it is a complete game IMO, with regard to the important game elements like graphics, sound, story, etc. But the thing that defines this game and myself is the excellent gameplay, which is most important. I like good gameplay.

So far as SRPGs are concerned, I have to say Final Fantasy Tactics defines me as well. The gameplay in this game shined through, but it also highlights my love for sprites, those old school, 2D, hand drawn graphics – which is why games I also love games like Valkyrie Profile and Disgaea.

By the way, I played Front Mission on the PS1, and while I liked it, I found it a bit too long and too repetitious.

I actually recently bought Vagrant Story recently, I'm looking forward to playing it.

Front Mission is repetative, and I think customization is excessive, it does get tiring, but this was a fun game to beat, and the story really picks up near the end.

If it's your first time playing Vagrant Story, I envy you - hope you like it.

I really like Halo: Reach, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, Dance Central, but I don't know if I would qualify as a 'hardcore' gamer.

But the fact that I finished the entire Zelda: Twilight Princess, unlocked all the characters in Super Mario Brothers Brawl, kind of gives me some cred.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

The PS3 as a gaming system. As for a specific game, i would say Demons Souls or Dark Souls.

this is a really hard question, since i usually keep changing the types of games i play, every gen i played different types of games and this trend seems to continue, or atleast the types of games are expanding since i am playing more games these days.

if i had to chose one game that would be Red Dead Redemption. first of all its an action adventure game, which is something i love. if i dont feel that i am on an adventure in a game there is a good chance i wont like it. second it has a GREAT story with a lot of meaning behind it, so it shows the part of me that loves emotional games with a strong story. it also is unique, i love unique games. stuff like god of war where its setting isnt really traditional in video games (neither is the wild west). it also has this great world and atmosphere where i just get sucked in in the games world.

Fire Emblem for sure
