Where exactly does the WiiU benefit Capcom at all?

- Lower userbase (much lower)

- More expensive development cost

They can sell far more Monster Hunter games on the 3DS at a cheaper dev cost. Why even bother with the WiiU. Capcom isn't supporting the platform at all anyway.

Fixed!

And yeah, why do superior versions of games when you can do gimped ones for lower cost? Developers should also still work on DS games. Seriously, the gaming industry isn't looking too brilliant with reasonings like this...

And that's why they aren't developing on the WiiU. MH3GU was a port of a port of a port.

Are all those japanese developers that keep releasing games for PSP and not for PSV also haters, stupid, greedy, and all of the other things people have stated here?

Edit: I forgot what I actually wanted to say, all those port beggin posts affected me. In 2014 there will be an announcement for MHP for PSV, too late? Maybe, but one can't really blame capcom for it, it's not like PSV is an attractive device to develop, and they will surely won't announce a game that could hurt the sales of MH4.

They also said Resident Evil 4 would stay Gamecube exclusive.

no sales no games.

doesn't matter how shinny or powerful your favourite toy is.

That goes both ways, too.. No games no sales :P

do people have short term memory issues or something? Whats the difference between this and what was said back in December/January when Capcom initially delayed MH4 and said the exact same thing...no plans for MH on the Vita at the moment.

Well, less, because you can still play those games on Vita. But they certainly aren't helping. Having games like Shining Ark/Blade or Sword Art Online on PSP only is holding back Vita a lot. Such developers make a mistake in being so short-sighted imo.

Foolishness

The thing to keep in mind is that analyts and game reporters would be working for companies like Nintendo if they were smart enough to be.  We don't fully understand what Nintendo is going to do..  He just admitted recently that he was wrong about the 3ds.  These guys have to repond based on a small amount of information. Behind closed doors companies like Nintendo have all the information and they are the ones making these decisions.

"Community/Online Specialist" = knows NOTHING about upcoming games. They could announce a Vita version at any minute, this proves nothing.

What!? Sven( Christian Svensson) is not a "Community/Online Specialist". He is the Corporate Officer and Senior Vice-President of CAPCOM west. I shouldnt have had to point that out because if you didnt have such a knee jerk reaction and actually read the article, it says that. He knows every game in development from either west or east and he regularly visits CoJ. Anyways it completely obvious that Nintendo paid for a form of exclusive deal for MH, one that may end up keeping it off Vita for awhile. Your delirious if you think MH Vita will be annouced before 3DS version is out at the least.

YOU need to read the article. Sven only commented on Resident Evil. The Vita comment was by a Community Specialist on the Capcom forum. Hardly authoritative.

PS Vita owners who want a Monster Hunter should play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Just like the first ever released Monster Hunter, it's practically the same game anyways.  If you're not a fan of the series I wouldn't recommend it.  If you are, then just buy a Wii U and play with the other 100 western Monster Hunter fans.

Maybe Capcom are waiting for the PS Vita's install base to build up before bringing it over.
