the legend of zelda...
if it is as beautiful as the video demo.....

how would that have an impact on the industry. plus it isnt officially announced yet..

how come you question mine!? :O

well an HD zelda has been tried before, and it could put the gaming industry back to RPG route "i hope"

but yeah im feeling a little sensitive :P well yu ddint question the 3d mario.....

they said two zelda games would release in wiiu in the wii u direct. one remake and one new one... so yeah it is the same as the 3d mario... so why didnt you question that???? see im sensitive :P

how can an FPS have the biggest impact in the gaming industry? they are over saturated already with the current best selling.... the next biggest impact i think is something that would turn the gaming industry upsidedown... like farmville! or angry birds!!! or wii sports!!!! LOL

but i do hope the zelda HD (not WW) would have a major impact this gen... like the ocarina in the 64 era...

lol calm down dude, i just didnt want to qoute everybody in the thread and just happened to qoute you. basil also said destiny and the last of us before 3d mario which are the same games i already said. and another thing is that i honestly wanted to know why you think the next zelda would change the indusrty. im not really questioning you but wanting to know your point of view.

thats exactly one of the reasons i believe it will change the indusrty, FPS are overstaturated. a lot of them are generic and boring if you ask me. but this game (Destiny) seems like it will change the formula. just like every FPS now wants to be call of duty and every action game wants to be uncharted (not every, but most) i think this game will make it that destiny is the new standard when it comes to FPS games or even online mutliplayer games. i also believe it will change the way games are made, where singleplayer and mutliplayer are more connected than before.

i really think FPS will fizzle out this gen....

i mean the survivial horror on the ps generation was huge and now they are not big....

fighting games is also almost extinct

racing... so-so

open world base games? kinda like the ps2 era with the san andreas pick?

man i wish the old final fantasy generation would be back... with real open world and nice cinematography (i dunno if the term is right)

maybe Project X would help to put the lost genre back?????

Final Fantasy Verses XIII - If the game is good and sells, it could bring back some interest in JRPG's in the west. The genre will never be as popular as it was in the PSOne era, but I'm hoping that it will make enough impact to give publishers some incentives to bring more of those types of games over here.

The Evil Within - Concept sounds great. Could set the benchmark for survival horror games for next gen. ~ A forerunner for the next "Resident Evil"?

Metal Gear Solid V - First multiplatform MGS release.

Destiny. More so than others mentioned above because it's going to launch in on the nexbox and ps4 also. It will be an mmo and it will be played again and again as even the next gen grows old just like Wow has on pc but probably to a lesser extent. Games coming out late this gen will be great I'm sure but will not have the lasting effect or appeal because of the new generation of consoles.

Edit: A hd Zelda too would be great and have a large impact too if it is made right. fingers crossed.

even though i do agree with some of what you said i have to point out that bungie have stressed more than once that destiny isnt an MMO. its a first person shooter action game more than anything

Tricky one. I am hoping "The Evil Within" might spark the console survival horror games up (for some reason they are only all over PC right now). Also, "The Witness" might have an impact in a "Myst" type game revival, much like "The Walking Dead" felt like an adventure game revival. It is interesting to see an iOS game being a PS4 launch game.

And yes, obviously "Half Life 3" will shake the industry to the core. That is the only guarantee in this thread.

I think what's David Cage is trying to do with Beyond (and Heavy Rain before that) might in the long run influence the industry quiet a bit - there is untapped market of non-gamers out there who would be willing to try out that sort of interactive fiction (with better writing of course), so I see those and similar games as a good first move toward expanding the current market.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was multiplatform too.

Technically, yes. it was.. but no mainline MGS has ever been released as a multiplatform game before. We only get ports after the main game has come out. For instance it was only after MGS2:SOL (PS2 exclusive) came out that we got MGS2:Substance for Xbox, PC and PS2.
