I would buy a Nintendo console if they would give me what their handhelds do. Look at the 3DS so far this year. Fire Emblem: AwakeningLuigi's Mansion: Dark MoonEtrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the TitanMonster Hunter 3 UltimateShin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - Soul HackersCastlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. And there's a lot more coming this year.

Nintendo console games come too few and far between, they're not enough to maintain a console a whole year, and third-party support is all but inexistant/lacking.

A new Zelda and the Wii costs $199 then I'll buy.

You mean the Wii U?

Too expensive for me, no interesting games now, probably not enough interesting games in the future either (I don't care about Nintendo's games and don't trust it to get enough third-party support either), terrible online service (not that I care a whole lot about it anyway), the controller seems gimmicky and not like I'd want to hold it in my hands for long, not powerful enough... There's a lot, really. I've considered some Nintedo's consoles in the past but there's no reason to even consider the Wii U.

I don't care about the gamepad gimmick.
Weak hardware.
Current games are unappealing and it will not have the games I want to play in the future.
PS4 reveal convince me to wait for it.
No blu ray.

The deciding factor was that, the last console I really owned from Nintendo before the Wii was the original Famicon system(N64 belonged to my older brother so I don't really count that, though those games were fucking awesome too), and when I saw Super Mario Galaxy, I was like O_O;;;;;;;;; I pretty much got the Wii just for that game and OMFG that game reminded me as to why Nintendo games are so good in the first place.

My main platform is still PC and I also have a PS3 for the awesome games but Nintendo games play nothing like those games, it's awesome in entirely different aspects and you can't find that anywhere else. Also, Xenoblade is the best 7th gen JRPG I played on a home console and this is from a Playstation JRPG gamer mind you(PSX, PS2, and PS3, of course other too but mainly on Sony since Square jumped ship) and that means something. So yeah I got the Wii U, and I'm pretty sure I'll get what I want, and that's fucking exciting as hell for me.

How so?

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

- No interesting games yet

- Too expensive for what it can offer (hardware capabilities)

- I probably would never use the tab, so why should I spend the $ on something I don't care for?

- Small amount of memory on present SKUs (I'd have to buy a HDD specifically for the U, which will just add to the $)

- Games tied to system and not the account

I will get one eventually, but I have no reason to until at least some of these issues are addressed. While I do intend to get one I am disappointed in the system overall (Not necessarily the power of the system since I'm fine with what it can do, but the other shortcomings).

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Already bought one. We had a blast getting all the coins together on NSMBU, and it got our 3 year old into video games. He loves the gamepad. Unfortunately he's ahead of me now in Lego city.

I haven't bought one, because Nintendo still haven't hired me an assistant to help me with my research, and things at work.

In all seriousness, I really don't have much time to play, backlog on wii is large enough to keep be busy for a while. Might get one eventually.
