I think the issue is that people are trying too hard to compare it to the ps3/360, when the wiiU isn't trying to be like those 2 consoles. It's trying to be its own thing, and honestly, Nintendoland/nsmbu/ZombiU/legocity are a good enough reason to spend the 350 imho, which is why i bought it:P

A new Zelda and the Wii costs $199 then I'll buy.

There aren't enough games to justify the cost yet.

theres absolutely no reason for me to purchase it. wii u has less multimedia features than both ps3 and 360 and still has no killer game titles. its essentially the same as ps3 and 360 but the least desirable all while being 6-7 years late. i really dont know what nintendo were thinking with the wii u or what their future plans are. i do hope they can turn things around though but i honestly believe its going to be an uphill struggle for nintendo and wii u the next couple of years.

So you basically don't know much about the Wii U :P

Nintendo is my second favorite console, but i only bought the game cube for resident evil zero and 1, wii for resident evil chronicals and id only buy the wiiu for zombieu so far, so at this price a console for one game isnt worth it for me

I have not bought a WiiU because:

Nintendo first party IPs are unappealing.
Weak Next-gen Hardware.
Weak 3rd party support.
Hideous Controller.
Accounts are attached to consoles.

To be fair, I think the Dual Shock 4 looks like piss too, and I know nothing about the nextbox controller yet so I can't judge that one. Accounts will be fixed eventually, they contracted that thing out to another dev and it's not final yet, which does suck.

1. Nintendo games don't really appeal to me all that much aside from smash and metroid
2.I want a console that gets all the 3rd party games that I play.
3.Nintendo really let me down with the wii so I'm more cautious when it comes to their home consoles.
4.The controller is unappealing to me.
5.The cost is a bit high for what you get.
6. It doesn't really have that wow factor for me as a next gen console.

I own a Wii U.

The deciding factor was basically the fact that my friend had an extra one pre-ordered and he was originally going to let his cousin have it. Since his cousin fell into troubled times and couldn't afford it, he offered to let me have the second one (I had to pay, of course). Since I knew I would pick one up eventually anyways, I figured I might as well jump in with my other friends now.

That being said, I literally haven't turned the console on since the first week of January. =/

This ^^

I've been a loyal Nintendo fan since the 80's, but the Wii U has nothing for me that I can't get better, cheaper, or sooner elsewhere.  Nintendo has it's stable of games that it has rested on in the past, but they almost all need reboots to shake the dust off of old tired designs.  I've only recently snapped out of being a Nintendo fanboy & I feel so much more sane, doing & buying things that actually make sense for me & not blindly supporting a company has been very refreshing.
