Why Don't You Own A Wii U?

I'm not a Nintendo fan. 57 10.40%

Not enough games yet. 94 17.15%

I don't have enough money. 43 7.85%

Waiting for a price cut. 32 5.84%

Waiting for a Zelda/Metroid/etc.. 38 6.93%

I'm not a console gamer. 4 0.73%

The GamePad doesn't interest me. 46 8.39%

Dunno... 7 1.28%

I already own one. 146 26.64%

Not powerful enough. 80 14.60%

Total:547

I've heard different things from different people about why the Wii U is having such a rough time, many of them contradictory and few with any real substance to back them up. So I wanted to toss the question out there.

Not why and how the Wii U is/isn't selling, but why you have/haven't bought one. Not enough games? Too expensive? Just not interested?

And if you HAVE bought a Wii U, what was the deciding factor?

Edit: Poll fixed now.

theres absolutely no reason for me to purchase it. wii u has less multimedia features than both ps3 and 360 and still has no killer game titles. its essentially the same as ps3 and 360 but the least desirable all while being 6-7 years late. i really dont know what nintendo were thinking with the wii u or what their future plans are. i do hope they can turn things around though but i honestly believe its going to be an uphill struggle for nintendo and wii u the next couple of years.

I voted for too Expensive, cus that was my only choice. Even though I actually own one>.>

Sorry, my first poll. Other options now added.

I have not bought a WiiU because:

Nintendo first party IPs are unappealing.
Weak Next-gen Hardware.
Weak 3rd party support.
Hideous Controller.
Accounts are attached to consoles.

Really there is only three reasons someone woudn't have bought it.

1) No games I want to play. (this fits people who dislike Nintendo as well as those just not interested in what's here now)

2) Don't have the money to buy one yet.

3) Waiting for price drop.

#1 will mostly never get one as they will largely prefer first party of MSony and just go that route. But there is a smaller sub-group that is just waiting for that exclusive game or set of games. So a small portion of this group will buy one eventually.

#2 and 3 will eventually get a Wii U.

You should add as option "all of the above" or "more than one".

This ^^

PSN: Saugeen-Uwo     Feel free to add me (put Vg Chartz as MSG)!

Nintendo Network ID: Saugeen-Uwo

- Too Expensive
- Just bought 3DS
- no money
- lack of intriguing games
- not crazy about tablet controller
- got more than enough gaming right now

Once the Smash Bros, the Mario Karts, the 3D Marios, Dragon Quests, etc. are released, I will think about buying one. Probably won't be until christmas this year at the earliest, but more likely sometime in 2014. But right now there just aren't enough games I would want. NSMB U and Monster Hunter are literally the only ones I'd buy that are currently out. Pikmin and Wonderful 101 also look good, but not enough for me to invest $350 in a new console.

Thought about it, but ran out of space. One of the above should be a deciding factor, though.

Just realized I had "too expensive" listed twice. *facepalm*

Sorry, real bad at this. Fixed now.
