Which is your pick, and why?

1 or 3. 1 for nostalgia though.

I chose 3, it has the most enjoyable campaign thanks to the scoring mechanics adding more hours of replayability and the mulitplayer was far more balanced encouraging multiple playing styles successfully. Also Horde in Gears 3 was a huge plus for me.

If I rated my order would be 3,2,J,1

I like 1 for its originality but if I had to decide between 2 and 3 I would go for 2. It had so much epic moments.... riding brumaks, killing the gigantic worm was so epic! "the thing has 3 hearts!" only the final "boss" was ridiculous but it was a hell of a ride till then. I haven't played judgment, though.

Three. While it lacked several "WOW" moments from its predecessors (Like driving that Light car across the city, chased by the Krill, or riding a Brumak in the second game), the story was very great (Gears aren't well-known for their story, but I thought that the third one had a pretty solid one), the multiplayer still maintained its quality (And even when it wasn't nerfed, I never found the shawed-off to be that overpowered! However, the Retro was pretty dirty, and it is still to this day). On top of that, Horde mode was better than never, and the new Beast mode was likeable (not as good as Horde or Overrun, though) and there were lots of things to do and lots of unlockables that kept replayability high. (I still have not unlocked the damned Prescott, but his requisite is way too high T_T).

I think Gears of War 3 is one of the greatest games of the seventh generation. Just my opinion.

1, for the amazingly tactical MP. Which was ruined from then on.

I think the Gears 3 is the best overall game, but I really liked a lot of Gears 2 and Gear Judgement had a lot of really fun new gameplay elements. Gears 1 is still a good game, but the story is so basic and the levels are so straight forward that it kind of now gets overshadowed by the others.

I'd go with the first one. Gears 3 is right after though. The fun I had in MP is unrivaled and has yet to be matched by any game of any other system, and I don't even own an Xbox 360. I will admit, I nearly bought a 360 because of Gears 1 and again because of Gears 3.

All 3 were great, but 1 for the 100's of hours of sweet MP it delivered.

I feel it had the most enjoyable campaign and I really enjoyed the co-op multiplayer modes.
