Geralt ward, Ciri,  Cintra princess  survived the massacre by the army Nilfgaardian , currently training in the castle witcher, Kaer Morhen, and is preparing to become a witcher. It turns out, however, that also has an unexplained magical talent, doing strange visions. Witchers call sorceress Triss who befriends Ciri. However, Triss capacity is not sufficient to be able to train Ciri therefore proposes putting her under the care of a sorceress Yennefer and sent to a religious school for girls, run by Mother Nenneke. Witchers agree consent shall also Yennefer. Initially she was not very happy with Ciri, but then establish a personal friendship that turns into a feeling identical to the love between mother and child. In fact, Geralt and Yennefer who both can not have children, they treat like a daughter Ciri. It also turns out that Ciri has powerful magical abilities, over which there is not, but that surpass everything he Yennefer ever heard.

However, it turns out that Ciri is not safe. Agents Nilfgaard learned that survived, and the emperor ordered the capture of her. In pursuit of Ciri and Geralt goes mage/wizard remaining in the service of the Emperor Emhyr, Rience and unnamed knight, who failed to catch Ciri during the slaughter of Cintra and who got a chance now to rehabilitate themselves. In the struggle for Ciri also appears  sorceress - also have their own plans for the girl. We already know that it will play a crucial role in the subsequent history of the world, although it is still unclear what exactly will this role. Geralt insists he will not pull Ciri in any political games, but everyone around him knows that girls love to force them to abandon their neutrality.

At the end of the novel Yennefer with Ciri go on forever from the Monastery of Nenneke.

That's the point... the use efficiency of that RAM POWER.

For a console 1.84TFLOPS is used like a PC uses a 2.5 TFLOPS or more.

Ram doesn't do any processing.
But, I'll bite.

My GPU's have roughly 13-14 Teraflops in total, I have 4x the system Ram, just 2 of my Hyper Threaded CPU cores is probably faster than the 8 in the PS4, I have 5x the resolution and the list goes on.
I can also provide plenty of examples where console ports will run on similar hardware to that of the consoles or with better graphics.

So, to me it looks like clasping of straws at this point, it's equivalent to a high-end PC about 4-5 years ago, certainly not one of today.

My bad. RAW POWER or the flops itself.

And your PC is not high-end... it is enthusiastic.

Low-end
Mid-end
High-end
Enthusiastic -- You here

I do agree with Ethomaz on the description of your rig, though. You're working with, as am I, enthusiast parts. A bit beyond a typical high-end PC.

This is not  a bit beyond a typical high- end PC, this is madness. What is the point in it ?

Primarily, work. Much like CGI I assume. :)
But the bonus is that I use it for just as much gaming as I do work. Oh, and it was fun to build.

Madness would mean it serves no purpose. I've learned, no matter the power, a CPU can be utilized for many, many tasks. Sometimes, those tasks just do better with extreme parts.

I see that u are some kind of specialist. I mean normal people, normal use.

Well, "normal" people probably won't buy high-end/enthusiast PCs. Those who need it, buy it. Rarely does someone buy a PC of enthusiast nature just to flex biceps.

I really can not imagine, what games, services, tasks, operations etc will require such a monster. For me high - end PC  = games on Ultra with no lags, no frame drops, fast internet. Of course u can correct me. 5 K resolution, 100 FPS, Ultra settings - I dont see much more... nothing to pay this cash.

Yeah CD Red and while you're at it, give Playstation owners me included a chance to play your two previous games, huh? Especially condisering that Playstation is always the dominating console brand in your homecountry not counting PC as a gaming platform and it will most probably be the same this time around.

I'd love to get it on a Vita, since we'll never get it on PS3 considering just how bad it sold on X360 :( Would be sick to play Witcher 1 and 2 on the go! Awesome games.

Books are also classics of the fantasy genre, absolutely top notch.

TW2 sold pretty good on 360. 640K according to VGChartz. Not so bad.

This may be a bit off-topic, and a stupid question, but if you have two GPUs (SLI), each with 6GB of RAM (GDDR5 of course), are you allocated 6GB of VRAM total? I thought it did mean that, but a buddy of mine claims otherwise.

SLI uses the total RAM of the GPU that have the less RAM.

1x GPU 2GB
1x GPU 1GB

Your SLI will use only 1GB... because the used RAM on both card are mirrored.

Not bad at all for a late port. Late ports are selling fairly well for the top WRPG's. Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 sold over 1.2 million and I don't think that is counting digital downloads.

Correct.

Simple reason for this, PCI-E and the SLI/Crossfire bridge doesn't have the bandwidth or latency required in order to share the memory contents on each card for one big fat giant memory pool.
However, if you go farther back in the cache hierachy, aka System Ram, the GPU's can all share the same memory before it gets sent off to each GPU, which is what is important for compute tasks.

However, with that said despite the memory pools having duplicated information, SLI/Crossfire still manages almost 100% scaling in dual GPU gaming scenarios, compute is a whole different ball game however.

So in the end, even though I have in total 9Gb of GDDR5 memory, only 3Gb of that is useable by games, the whole 9Gb however is available for compute. :)
