Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Load of games coming this holiday for Wii U. Should be epic. (rumored titles ADDED)

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/402393/blog/never-count-nintendo-out-3ds-push-shows-wii-u-wont-go-quietly/

"There are still some issues with the handheld market, of course, from the fairly poor third-party support to the questions hanging over Sony's PS Vita. But Nintendo has once again proven that it understands its own market much better than the doubters have.

Which brings me to the Wii U. Regulars at CVG might be aware that I talk down the console's chances in the most definitive language possible whenever asked. Well, from the things I'm hearing, there's a chance I'll soon be added to the reject bin of crazy talking twitter twonks pretty soon.

Hopefully, if we obtain further details from our sources, we'll be in a position to explain more to you soon. But, for now, put it this way: In the past two years there have been moments of disquiet regarding the 3DS and - like an instant magic trick - Nintendo has put an end to this with sudden reveals of significant games that went on to become star performers at Christmas."

EDIT:

Ok Here is a list of games I know are coming Q4 or are rumored based on other leaks.

First party:
ZeldaWWHD (known)
Smash Bros U (rumor)
Wii Fit U (known)
Bayonetta 2 (rumor)
Yarn Yoshi (known)
Xenoblade Wii U (rumor)
Shin-megami tensei & fire emblem cross over (rumor)
Mario Kart U (rumor)

Third Party (all known)
AC Black Flag
Watch_Dogs
Batman AO
COD something
and many more....

@those doubting the list. Notice the Item #s. They match the latest games actual releases of Game&Wario and LEGO 3DS. If the match the next games releasing, then I think this adds tremendous support.

I hope the multiplats make good use of the gamepad screen, mic and motion sensors.

We could use some innovation, I'm sick of playing the same formulas over and over again. The latest deja-vu I had was Tomb Raider. Thats uncharted with tits, and nothing else.

I think Wii U is set to have one of the best lineu-ups in the home console business, ever, this year. Mainly because of the 3rd party games.

They say that now. Just wait til E3. They'll give a bunch of games a "Holiday 2013" release window, and half of them will get delayed into 2014 when Nintendo realizes in August when they're setting dates that they have nothing in the first half of next year without delayed 2013 games.

Happens every year.

THEY HAD BETTER BRING IT.

Never again will I buy a console at launch.(That means everything.)

They'll definitely have a big holiday, they always do. Especially if they coincide it with a price drop. I think the question for Wii U is what they do for the other ~45 weeks in the year.

^ This. I'm pretty sure Nintendo will show gameplay of the 3D Mario during E3 and say it's for Holiday 2013 and a couple of months later....summer 2014.

This is one of the few things I really hate about Nintendo.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I'm usually pessimistic when it comes to things like this.... These game publishers constantly over-promise and under-deliver. I suppose it's just a normal human characteristic, but nevertheless we're constantly being hit with delays for major software titles.

I do have to say though: If Nintendo's Wii U lineup for the second half of the year is anywhere near as strong as it is for 3DS, we are in for one hell of an E3 and one hell of a holiday season come November. Fingers crossed.

Rest assured though... if Retro's Wii U game is announced at E3, it won't come out until next year. Nintendo has plenty of EAD-developed games like 3D Mario, Mario Kart and Wind Waker coming, that they don't need to rely on Retro's game this year.

like 1 or two games :D ???

I hope it's more actions than words. Nintendo have had 2 decent launch lineups but a drought of support straight afterwards, it's a problem that still affects the Wii U and 3DS support could improve still, but it's getting there

Xbox One, PS4 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018
