The Ps3 had a large loss then the original XBox. The XBox 360 was profitable in it's 3rd year. With XBox Live subscription it was even more profitable. The PS3 was a complete failure in terms of making Sony money. Sure it sold a lot of units and is catching up the XBox 360 in sales finally, but it lossed a lot of money and a lot of market shares over the last 6 years. Even those M$ Kinect didn't have an abundance of killer titles, it still sold more then the MOVE and sold more software then the MOVE as well. The Kinect was released after the MOVE.

Sorry, but I don't see paranoia in the evidence against Slowmo.

And regarding gaming terminology I don't have a map, but I know what the popular console brand is here in the US. When people not informed enough to refer to a specific game console mention games, they usually say "Xbox". It's not as common to hear "Playstation" in this context anymore. When they show a game system in a TV show, it's usually a 360 (or Wii for a while), but rarely is it a PS3. So unless you have another map proving otherwise, I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

No, your babbling is just your opinion. The Elite 360 cost more than a PS3.  The entry model includes no HDD or games.

Worked up? Don't see it, but you certainly seem so, given your improper (and random) use of the word "babbling".

Anyway, the 360 has been cheaper than the PS3 throughout the gen, hurting Sony most in the US (your vague example doesn't change this fact). That considered, it has been able to claw back much of the lead the 360 gained and will overtake it in total, worldwide numbers.

To me, that means that, at this juncture, the PS3 is the more desired product.

I'm not denying that the bolded part. I'm just saying MS could have slowed the gap from closing. But you can't seem to get through your head that's all I'm saying. Further price could have done it.

Well thats just speculation on your end which you have the burden to prove. If anything it reverted back to Nintendo because of the Wii and its demographics.

We keep getting told that it did so awful at the start yet launch aligned we are also told it outsold the 360 so it obviously was never that bad to begin with.  Its a lie spread by Sony fans to make the situation appear worse than it was.  

Here's the easiest way to look at it - the PS3 may have always been set-up to outsell the 360, but BECAUSE of the failings of its launch (really till about 2009), it held itself back from such a reality, sooner.

Make no mistake, it is this gen's biggest loser (regardless of passing the 360), but it isn't a lie that it had a bad launch. 


Thank you for at least posting a reasoned argument to try and debunk my point, shame Max didn't have your civility.  Lie was a strong word but I think its fair to say there are some fans who paint the launch as being far worse than it actually was.  The console was too expensive and lacked games, 2007 when the 40GB was released saw the start of it being fixed.  That's less than 12 months really.

The shame is you are paranoid and always blame Sony fans for something and used flawed logic to get your conclusions. Such as 2 consoles launch badly. One console beat the other console. Therefore it didnt launch badly.

Except, we can look at your post history and see how often you bring up Sony fans and see that pranoia is not catching.

Second the behaviour of Sony fans was particularly appalling earlier this year which is why 10+ got banned in one thread, thus making my posts on them more apparent recently. Would you like me to start quoting your post history of attacking Microsoft fans in your typically rude and ignorant manner. Please quote me "attacking" ms fans for being MS fans. As for the one I "edited" no Sony fans got banned in.

Ignorant means not knowing. I don't do that. Rude? hell yes I do that to people who deserve it and it isnt against the rules.
