Actually most average Joes are smart, the real question is how intelligent they are.

I have an IQ higher than the average person (not very hard, the average person is actually quite slow) and through life experience have seen that I am more intelligent than the majority of people I meet (not my friends however, I usually am not as intelligent as they are).

As to this site, it's hard to say. Video Gaming as a hobby, especially as big enough of a hobby for the person that they would peruse the internet about it, should indicate above-average intelligence. So I'm probably around the middle of the pack here I would imagine.

this is just natural i guess ^-^ everybody secretly thinks they can something much better/or have better skills/look better/what ever as someon else. even without any proof. this is what makes us self confident i guess

I voted show me the results. Personally I dont care whether or not im smarter than most people. Most likely from an an intellectual perspective I am (~140 IQ when tested in 8th Grade) but that doesnt mean squat. Smart is based on SO many different factors. I know people with (measured) IQs of ~150 or so that are stupid when it comes to anything in the real world. As we would say they are Book smart and not street smart.

There are clearly people here who are more educated and also others who are more ignorant than I am in alot of subjects. Overall I would say I know less about video games than most as I spend far more time browsing this site than I do playing games. Which is sad considering I only check in here a few times a day and only for a few moments.
