Clearly he'll never see the ending in order to get the explanation for that scene. But he's missing out, and if he goes back to playing COD or something similar...well, I don't know what to say.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

No, you are forced to choose between having your character violate a pretty minor belief of your religion and whining about imagined persecution, thereby missing out on one of the best and most thought-provoking games of recent years.

It amazes me that people can actually think like this guy.

Hehe. Well, I'm kinda like this. Maybe not to the same degree, but in infamous Modern Warfare airport level I had a similar reaction. I didn't fire a single shot the entire time. I felt horrible and couldn't see myself kill people that way. I know it's not real and no one or thing was harmed in it, but it still felt wrong.

I can find a way around that. For sure.

Well, if it's such an offense, stop playing simple! It's only fiction

I feel kind of the same way sometimes. I think it's Spec Ops that did it for me. It kind of makes me think twice before killing in a game (not in a shooter where you have to blast your way through a level of course, but in something like the Dishonored DLC that I'm currently playing).

There's a world of difference between that and getting offended over a baptism.

I skipped over a lot of article, because I'm ignorant to all spoilers. Don't want to ruin anything for me.

I figured this would bound to show up, and did post on VGChartz about the ending and whatnot.

What I can say here, is that it is a shame that the person protesting can't see what a perversion of real Christian faith is, and how Columbia represents a perversion of it.  If your only issue with how Christianity is perverted in Columbia is the symbolism and baptism and so on, and fail to see the issues that caused Vox Populi to rise, or the worship of America's Founding Fathers, then you seriously are missing what Christianity is about.  But heck, I shouldn't be surprised by what I see going around as "Christianity" these days anyhow, so this protest shouldn't be all that surprising.
