Rumored launch titles:

- Forza Motorsport 5 - Exclusive
- Alan Wake 2 - Exclusive
- Ryse - Exclusive
- Destiny
- PGR 5 - Exclusive
- Battlefield 4
- Assassin's Creed Next
- WatchDogs
- new Epic Game - Exclusive?
- new Zombie Game - Exclusive
- Call of Duty MW4
- new Rare IP - Exclusive

would be quite an overkill if all of these are true

Does that sound about right? Not bad at all if true! How many of those would be 1st party?

The Epic game is likely not exclusive, it's not even sure they will keep the Gears franchise exclusive, and the next game Epic makes is Fortnite.

And the 1st party games probably are: Forza Motorsport 5 from Turn 10 studios, the new Zombie game probably from Black Tusk Studios, and of course the Rare's IP.

Ryse and Alan Wake 2 is made by 2nd party Crytek and Remedy respectively.

I'm not sure about PGR 5, because Bizarre Creation was bought and later closed by Activision, so if Microsoft want to revive the franchise, they should give it to one of their new studio. (By the way they have some! 8 or 9 new studio, and 5-6 of them made for core games, but I will look it up.)

LOL, people keep saying this because they wish it to be true, MS and Epic have had a good and lucritive relationship since xbox 1, it's not going to stop now.

You know, I said "likely" because the only thing we know right now, is that Epic leaves money on the table, with every Gears game released. Of course, Microsoft can pay them to keep it exclusive. I'm sure People Can Fly would serve as a great developer for the Gears series in the future, and Epic can grab a lot of money from Microsoft. But Epic is in it to sell its engine. They'll have to showcase it, so their next game will come out on every platform, where UE4 is. They have a good chunk of studios by now, so infact they are able to make two games simultaneously and we do know about Fortnite, that's why I assume, that It's just that, and because People Can Fly just finished Gears of War: Judgement. I don't see them revealing another one, so it's either Fortnite or Unreal Tournament 4. Both would be multiplatform.

Just because some of their other games come out on ps4 does not mean they will not get an exclusive from epic; unreal tournament was on ps3 and so was bulletstorm but gears is still exclusive, just like I belive Samaritan will be exclusive on the 720.

As far as I know, Samaritan was not an actual game, just a techdemo for UE3. Which by the way looked way better than the UE4 techdemo.

What's the point of releasing a Forza game every year? It's not like they are growing the franchise with each release..its actually the opposite.

Forza 4 still sold a few million and still selling. Forza Horizon was a spinoff, still sold better than any Sony release of 2012.

The next gen platform needs a racer. Might as well give it one of the best on the market.

I just gathered the information about Microsoft 1st party, from what we've known. Of course if you have anything to add, let me know.

Microsoft
AAA Studios Developing Last project on consoles
343 Industries Halo 5 Halo 4
Turn 10 Studios Forza Motorsport 5 Forza Motorsport 4
Lionhead Studios Unknown Fable: The Journey
Rare Ltd. New Family IP Kinect Sports S1 and S2
Black Tusk Studios New FPS IP -
Platform Next Studios New Core IP -
Connected Experiences New Multi FPS IP -
MS Los Angeles New Cinematic IP -
MS Victoria New Unknown IP -
Skybox Sports New Sports IP -

XBLA developers
Twisted Pixel Games LocoCycle (for the X360) The Gunstringer
Xbox Live Productions Unknown South Park: STR
Press Play Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Max and the Magic Marker

Kinect developers
Playful Learning New Family game (Kinect) -
Kids and Lifestyle Ent. New Fitness game (Kinect) -
Good Science Studio Unknown Kinect Fan Labs
BigPark Unknown Kinect Sports S2
Soho Productions Unknown Kinect Sesame Street TV

If I counted well, they have 18 studios dedicated for game development, and I left out some, which are just helping 1st and 3rd party development, or only having intrest making mobile games for the Windows Phone platform. It certainly looks great, but they have a lot of unproven studios. The biggest thing will probably come from Black Tusk Studios who are "creating a major franchise for Microsoft to rival their popular Halo franchise."

You're Missing Lift London, they are making "cloud based games" but that could be like 1 vs 100 and end up on xbla, also Bigpark is rumored to be working on a core Ip, connected experiences are not confirmed to be working on a fps, jus a large scale multiplayer game, Rare is working on 3 core ips as stated in an old jobs listing and you should not leave out redmond publishing they co develop games with other studios (probably second party), so their games will be exclusive.

Microsoft
Retail Studios Developing (rumored) Last project on consoles
343 Industries Halo 5 Halo 4
Turn 10 Studios Forza Motorsport 5 Forza Motorsport 4
Lionhead Studios MMO-like new IP Fable: The Journey
Rare Ltd. 3 core IPs Kinect Sports S1 and S2
Black Tusk Studios New FPS IP -
Platform Next Studios New Core IP -
Connected Experiences New Multi-player IP -
MS Los Angeles New Cinematic IP -
MS Victoria New Unknown IP -
MS Redmond Overseeing 3rd party development -
Skybox Sports New Sports IP -
BigPark Unknown Kinect Sports S2

XBLA developers
Twisted Pixel Games LocoCycle (for the X360) The Gunstringer
Xbox Live Productions Unknown South Park: STR
Press Play Max: The Curse of Brotherhood Max and the Magic Marker
Lift London "Multiple Cloud Based gaming projects" -

Kinect developers
Playful Learning New Family game (Kinect) -
Kids and Lifestyle Ent. New Fitness game (Kinect) -
Good Science Studio Unknown Kinect Fan Labs
Soho Productions Unknown Kinect Sesame Street TV

I added those studios, although, MS Redmond is made for overseeing 3rd party content, so they probably won't make a game (yet).  I put Lift London to the XBLA section because I found on wikipedia that they're working on "Multiple Cloud Based gaming projects". Which is really great, but I don't see all those being AAA retail games, of course.

U serious a with that vid? Of course it matters. It's the exclusives that defines a console, and most exclusives comes from 1st party studios.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Well of course, never thought they were AAA.

As long as it's exclusive and MS owns the IP it does not matter if it is 1 or 2nd party.
