Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo aficionados .. Do you like games made by Sony?

I notice a lot of playstation users saying how they want Nintendo to be a third party developer. Do you feel the same way about Sony?  Would you like Sony to be a third party developer?  What are your favorite Sony games?

I'm indifferent about them being a third party developer. I like Sly and God of War but that's all.

I really loved the Crash and Spyro games on the PS 1, oh and the Gran Turismo and Cool Boarders series. But the console itself wasn't mine, it was the one from my sister.  I played soul reaver and gran turismo on PS 2 from my brother sometimes and really liked it. But the later franchises ala Uncharted, God of War aren't appealing to me.

I liked crash. Now their 1st party is pretty dull to me. Oh except those guys who made SoTC.

I like their 3rd party more.

the Naughty Dogs games, Team Ico games, Gran Turismo and God of War are pretty awesome..they are top of their genre.. those I would like to see on other platforms...

Meh, I loved the Spyro games on PS1. But I understand that it was'nt made by a Sony owned devs and they don't own the IP anymore.

Other than that, enjoyed GoW3 but I feel that the franchise has run it's course, loved the first 2 Uncharted games, interested in LoU.

I think if Sony went 3rd party, I'd only be really interested in Naughty Dog's and maybe Santa Monica's if they manage to create a new franchise I can care about. Don't rly care for Infamous, Sly or Ratchet etc...

I don't want any of the big three to go software-only, because competition benefits us as gamers.

I like some of Sony's games; the PS1 Crash Bandicoot games are awesome, and Uncharted 2 was fantastic.
A lot of their franchises don't really appeal to me though; Killzone, (Except #3 cos of pointer control) Infamous, God of War after #2, Heavy Rain, Sly, Ratchet & Clank, and Gran Turismo do nothing for me.

Even though I own a PS3, I'm not intested in most of Sony's 1st/2nd party games. The only PS3 game (funded, not made) by Sony I absolutely wanted to play is a unique game called Flower.

Regarding Sony franchises -
God of War: I love Greek mythology but detest the ultra-violent approach of this franchise. No-go for me.
Uncharted: Nice, I bought 1+2 and probably 3 one day, but the franchise is nothig special to me.
Killzone/Resistance: I'm not interested in FPS.
LittleBigPlanet: on Nintendo systems I have Mario 2D/3D.
LBP Karting/Modnation Racers: on Nintendo systems I have Mario Kart.
Infamous: there's plenty of more interesting act/adv games out there (best and by far most important: Zelda).
Ratchet & Clank: these games look nice, but I'm not interested enough to buy one of them.
Gran Tursimo: looks great but I don't play these kind of "sincere" racers anymore.
MotorStorm: don't need that when I can get the imo superior Burnout instead.
PlayStation All-Stars: haha, just no.

The strength of the PS3 to me and the reason I bought it - besides Flower and the once still vivid prospect of getting The Last Guardian - is the unique support of exclusive Japanese 3rd party games which actually make it to the west (e.g. Ninokuni, Tales of Graces F, Tales of Xillia, Yakuza 3, Valkyria Chronicles).

i like god of war only.
