Yeah, not quite. He was fired for quite stupidly going on a public forum and making VERY OBVIOUS REFERENCES to a product whose existence his company hasn't even confirmed yet. The vast majority of the offending tweets were not between him and his buddy. That "why on earth would I want to live there?" stuff came later.

So he resigned yet people are saying MS fired him.. Geez people read..

The moral of the story is:

Don't say anything on Twitter. Or Facebook. Or any social network.

Because somebody somewhere on the Internet will get mad.

Yeah, the plastic boxes sitting next to our TV's are the only things that matter in the world and we should all take comments about them as peronaly as attacks on our character.

Cut out his tongue and throw him in the viper pit!  May he burn in hell for all eternity and his family suffer for his sins.

No one else to blame but himself, next time keep your twitter from public view and only accept your friends. Your a management like figure act like one, Microsoft most likely forced him to resign rather than fire the guy.
