Forums - Gaming Discussion - Dark Souls 2 screenshots Leaked (12 minute gameplay video added)

I noticed at the beginning of the video he switched from shield to dual wielding. I think I saw a combo in there with the two blades. If I remember correctly in dark souls they didn't really combo with duel wielding. They just hit like individual weapons so there was really no point in duel wielding.

Maybe it's like Skyrim, where if you press both triggers, you perform unique dual-wield strikes.

I do hope that From Software decides to release the PC version at the same time as the console versions.

I feel like the player movement is fast, when running or dodging. I hope that is because the player is at high level.
Also, I'm wondering what is that yellow moon where humanity used to be. Overall, I'm pleased with what I saw :)

Player movement is always dependent on equip weight, level has nothing to do with it. If you're under 25% equip weight, then every action is at it's highest speed (running, dodging, etc.) which seems to be the case in this video. I doubt they'll change that for DS2, since the current system is fine as it is.

Correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't played DS in a while, but doesn't endurance raise your equipment load, therefore making you faster in heavy equipment.

Played Dark Souls for 30 mins then got bored, sold it the next day. Shit game, but good to see sequels for Japanese games maybe in a couple of years they will release one for my liking.

I'm pretty excited for this game. One of the only games that i've spent over 40 hours playing.

The 12 minute gameplay video comes out in an hour, so we'll see how the game looks.

Over 250 hours right here, I guess I'm beyond excitement, I'm obsessed.

Awesome pics, can't wait for the full reveal :D

400hrs for me! I cant wait, hyped!

Currently this screams "Addon" to me, it doesn't feel different to DS1 at all yet. Won't judge the game yet though, after 12 minutes of gameplay (six after taking the useless blubber in the studio away).

That is correct. However, a high endurance level is required if you want heavy armor and heavy weapons. Most would usually equip Havel's Ring to avoid leveling up endurance skill.
