Ubisoft is a WiiU believer.

Good for us too, since Ubisoft usually makes good games. Getting Watch_Dogs on WiiU for sure, have to look into the others .

Hate to burst your bubble but Ubisofts multiplat development will end for the Wii U unless its exclusive after all the multiplat games for the end of the gen are over. Mark my words and when next year the multiple drought occurs, remember you read it here first.

In a world where games can sell 4 million units and still be called a failure, how long will it take 3rd party publishers to stop making multiplats for 360 and PS3? Publishers need that userbase and that revenue just to recoup costs on titles developed for 7th generation graphics. UE4 isn't going to make that any cheaper.

The PS4 and the next Xbox are going to face the same problem Wii U has: Why should I buy a new console when new games are still being released on PS3 and 360?

The PS4 and the Xbox will be exempt development wise from the Wii U because it has the actual specs Epic, Ubisoft and other devs have been demanding. The Wii U will get a lot of exclusive games though because even if they were included the games would have to be scaled down massively from the size of levels and more. Watch Dogs isnt a next gen game which is why it will be held back in many ways. The scaling back would affect loading, draw distance, graphics, frames and much more.

this is good news for wiiu owners lets hope the game sell's at least 100k

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

As long as Ubisoft doesn't pull a Rayman Legends

Since the reveal of the Wii U I thought that a game that would benefit A LOT from the gamepad features would be something like Splinter Cell. Things are looking good for the system!

This thread would be blowing up if they confirmed that it was NOT coming for WiiU

OT: Good to hear, I hope when it releases there are no other games I am looking at getting first so I can support some third party action.

STAGE, you would have point if the difference in power was as bad as the difference between the Wii, PS3 and 360...but there's nowhere near as much difference. In the grand scheme of things they're in the same ballpark.

Publishers will have developers coding for the lowest common denominator, as they did during the 6th gen with the PS2. You're going to have PS4 and 720 owners complaining that the Wii U is holding the other two consoles back the same way GameCube and Xbox owners complained about the PS2. Publishers aren't going to ignore the market leader, and with Nintendo's strong stable of system selling IPs it's going to be very difficult for Sony and Microsoft to close the gap that a year's head start has given.

I wouldn't hold out hope for that. Surely any publisher that is primarily concerned with the market share will be making games for PS360 for the next couple of years. And it is far easier to make a game for PS360 + Wii U as they are comparable systems. On top of that, if the PS4 and 720 have similar specs, they are basically considered one system by publishers due to the ease of porting. They just have to overtake Wii U sales combined to get more third party support, once a publisher moves to next-gen. And that shouldn't be too hard.

Is that coming this year? I figured it would be a 2014 release

It doesn't seem like the kind of game that would take a long time to make, and they showed us gameplay back in January. Reminds me of Kirby's Return to Dreamland, where they showed a short grab in early 2011, and it was out by year's end.
