Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Splinter Cell: Blacklist on WiiU

An Amazon France listing adds further weight to the likelihood of Splinter Cell: Blacklistcoming to the Wii U. While the page itself is somewhat speculative - the game is titled 'Splinter Cell 6' - the blurb matches up with the retailer's listings for other platforms.

The outwardly blacklisted Wii U version was spotted on two Ubisoft employees' LinkedIn profiles earlier this year. While the purported Wii U version strains to stay stealthy, Ubisoft is definitely bringing Splinter Cell: Blacklist to PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 20.

Not sure why they aren't announcing this already...possible E3 reveal?

At least not everyone has abandoned the platform. There's this, Arkham Origins, Assassin's Creed 4, Resident Evil Revelations, and Injustice: Gods Among Us. Hardly a bursting-at-the-seams third party roster, but better than the Wii was often treated.

As Wii U install base increases so will support. Nintendo just needs to get the big guns out.

So I might actually buy a Splinter Cell game since the Gamecube.

So it seems likely another game will be coming over then? The more games are announced, the bigger that library and the larger the install base for the other systems launch. It's the best they can hope for...

Exactly. Despite what fans of other consoles say here about missing 3rd-party-support, I'm surprised at how much better the 3rd-parties are compared to Wii. That's a progress, but at the expense of missing 1st-party-software (so far).
