i dont think people read the whole OP anymore... they just read the title :/

Ugh, that would put us on the same level as N4G...

It can't even run Gamecube games so I think it might be less powerful than sixth generation consoles.

What's wrong with Nintendo, don't they like money? Why not make a competent true next gen console?

It's even worse than you notice Rol: Try to boot a Gameboy cartridge on the Wii U. It just won't work.

This is clear evidence that the Wii U is less powerful than the Gameboy, a 1989 portable console. What the hell Nintendo, JUST WHAT THE HELL.

Embarassing!

The original post though goes in directions I don't expect, and if true, does have me have concerns about upgrading my Wii to the Wii U sometime.  If the Wii U has issues doing Wii games, then not sure I want to move my Wii.  The Wii is small enough to keep actually.

lol great thread for Rol again lol

In fact the Wii hardware inside the Wii U is not complete... there are thing emulated to run the Wii Mode... for that motive the Wii run Wii games better than Wii U... but I think Nintendo can fix these issues with Sytem patchs in the future (if needed).

If we go by your logic, then yes you are absolutely right.

To be honest, I look forward to see how the Wii U proform once the two updates are release. The April update should be release soon.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

That's just it.....Nintendo does like money.

Nintendo likes money so much, that they refuse to spend any of it on good R&D and good electronics technology.

That's precisely why the Wii U is underpowered.

True story.
