Meh my first thought and point in the first place is that when you look beyond the initial humor when someone smashes a console.......you realize that the person is just bad with money/doesn't see the value of a dollar. And that thought just makes me pity that person in the end.

Wait, how does smashing a console = a person is bad with money?  Or Doesn't see the value of a dollar?  

Let me be clear, I thought that smashing the xbox was a bit extreme considering it doesn't require him to be online all the time. But, i don't understand the logic behing labeling someone bad with money or unappreaciative of the value of a dollar just because they smashed their console. 

If I buy something, am I not allowed to smash it in displeasure?  Does it really mean I'm bad with money because I broke a simple object? 

I smashed my iphone 4gs in displeasure at the product a year  and a half ago. Does that mean I'm bad with money?

By your post with the Iphone....yes, yes you are bad with money, considering what they cost.Smashing something in displeasure....off course you are allowed. Just saying what that says about you.

Its simple math really. Spend money on product. Breaking said product renders the money you spent officially lost since you now have nothing to show for it.

That 360 probably had a lot of games. All Useless now. He can trade them in for $5 if he chooses, a sizeable loss from the initial purchase price. Or he can buy another 360, used or otherwise, still means more money spent in the end.

Why did it choose to loose out on his investment? Because he wanted some YT traffic.......hardly a justified trade off.

The iphone has no play in my bank account. And I bought a Samsung before i smashed it, I was never going to use that phone anyway.

Spending money doesn't = bad with money either. If you're limited with your funds because you're bad with money and can't afford to get things without significantly altering your lifestyle, i.e. new phone = no food for the month, then that's your problem.

Breaking an object in no way is signification of the way you handle your money, IMHO

Now, if you're breaking something someone else bought for you. that's a different story. It's disrespectful and shows you don't appreciate the dollar more so than breaking something you bought for yourself.
