Forums - Sales Discussion - Japan sales: Famitsu & Media create - Week 13 ( March 25-31)

Turkish is right, as he posted first, but I reckon that there is a gentleman pact that everyone respects as to who should start these threads. Since the days Shin created the threads and now you. Even at the beginning of the year when we waited for so long, when I found them I first posted in your wall and waited for an hour.

I really don't know what's the big deal, he is being ridiculous.

Very solid week again for Vita. I think anything above 25k is "OK". The DQX sales are solid but not amazing. The Wii U rise is nice, but I thought it might even hit 30k. Then again, this is only the one day sales for DQX, not a full week. Next week will probably be solid for Wii U too. It's a nice sign.

It seems not everybody is taking this into account.

That and it has also cleared 60-80% of its stock.  60-80%!  So the situation for DQX is not as grim as it looks.

Damn, a PS2 game in Famitsu's top 30. Surely this must be a longevity record. I mean, PS4 is comig this year, lol.

This is normal for all games in Japan because retailers need to absorb the costs if they order more units than they can move, so they always rather order too few than too many.

It doesn't mean the game didn't bomb, just that it was an expected bomb.

Btw, that Japanese law about only being able to release DQ on a weekend seems ridiculous in this case, lol.

Only S-E can say if it failed or not.  For all we know it could be doing quite well on the digital sales format.

Also as I understand this are mostly new buyers/bundle hunters. Since Wii owners have cheap digital option for 'upgrade' into WiiU version. This information is the most interesing... (how many people moved from Wii to WiiU version? And also - is it crossplay MMo between Wii and WiiU or servers are different?)

I think people is buying the WiiU for the new games, but they aren't buying them...

INB4, You can see 2 or 3 threads before but then everybody started voting who will make the thread so their won't be any duplicate threads and Acevil won and with Acevil being not as active as he used to because of being busy.  He asked me to do the weekly threads so since then I am making the thread every week.

Those DQX numbers are dissapointing though :P. It looks a lot better in HD.
